Author has written 12 stories for King of Fighters, Tales of the Abyss, One Piece, Breath of Fire, Bleach, Sekirei, Mega Man, Guilty Gear, Valkyrie Profile, BlazBlue, Rosario + Vampire, Tenjho Tenge, Street Fighter, Familiar of Zero, Fate/stay night, Koihime†Musō/恋姫†無双, and Ikki Tousen/一騎当千.
A simple guy with simple tastes and lots of guilty pleasures in the world of fan fiction.
I try my hand at writing some, too.
I usually prefer to mess around with AUs and crossovers because I enjoy playing with little ideas of what could be and what could not be. Some of them are kind of weird, but then somehow segue into being workable. Feel free to review, and to be polite yet honest about what you think I could improve on.
My personal mantra for writing fanfiction is pretty straightforward: "Your purpose above all else is to tell a story as best you can."
The goal isn't to write a story that's "better than canon", or to be the most popular writer of whatever series I write for, or to one-up other writers. I believe that the main focus of writing these stories should be to tell them so well that they become popular.
Small-minded thinking has no place in any kind of writing. Confidence in what you're doing and flexibility are what count.
It's not bad to tell the kind of story that you want, but be willing to address faults that come up in them and correct them if it's a legitimate concern. Take everything as a tip to get better at what you do and how you do it, no matter what.

One-Shots in the Brainstorming Phase:
Masked Investigators (Persona 4 AU)
Yuu Narukami comes to Yasoinaba to stay with his uncle Ryotaro Dojima while his parents are traveling for their jobs. In many other Inabas, this leads up to him gaining the power of Persona, the facade to overcome life's hardships, and entering a world where he must uncover deceit and lies. That holds true here, too--except that the facade is a bit more literal when he gets covered in armor and wields a weapon in addition to the power of the Wild Card.
Masked Soldier EVANGELION (Evangelion AU)
Shinji Ikari has always known that his father does Important Work in Tokyo-3, and that that Important Work has kept them apart for most of the last ten years of Shinji's life.
The Silver-Eyed (Claymore AU)
Youma have preyed on humanity from times immemorial. Unchecked, they would devour and destroy villages at will, without fear. Then, in mankind's darkest hour, their most troubled and defeated time, those with the power to oppose the Youma would literally be born from humans themselves, by the will of nature and heaven itself: the Silver-Eyed. In the many generations to follow, these brave women, revered as living goddesses by the people of the land, would grow, enter the fellowship of warriors, and fight for humanity's future. This is their story.
A Rivalry Where Anything Goes (Ranma 1/2 AU)
Genma Saotome learned the importance and weight of honor when a trip to China during his training days with the legendary Happosai ends with Genma being cursed at the mystical Jusenkyou springs. Left to avail himself of the mercy of the very warriors that Happosai victimized, it is a much different Genma that returns to Japan, with one goal--to pay back the warriors for sparing his life by pledging his assistance in defeating Happosai someday. Some years later, Genma's son Ranma Saotome transfers to Furinkan High School after some mishaps at his previous school, where he meets his martial-arts match in the tomboyish but gentle Akane Tendou, beginning the first of many meetings between the Saotome and Tendou schools of Anything Goes Martial Arts.
The Man Aware of Emptiness (Dragon Ball Z AU, with a few nods to an AU Dragon Ball canon)
A little tale in which Son Goku's head injury doesn't make him quite so stupid, in which Grandpa Gohan decides to take him to town a little more often, and in which Bardock's older child is a woman. The end results are...interesting, to say the least.
Gun to Gun (Mahou Tsukai Kurohime and Nanoha crossover/AU)
The Mariage case left Teana Lanster feeling drained both physically and emotionally, and following the advice of her once-instructor Fate T. Harlaown, she goes to the newly administered world of Ganze for some relaxing downtime. Unfortunately for her, the city she chooses to relax in has one tiny problem--a magic-using outlaw that works under the alias "Kurohime", with motives that are strangely focused around the retrieval of some very specific magic devices...
COLORS in the Sky (Code Geass and Mobile Fighter G Gundam crossover/AU)
In doing his part to reconstruct the shattered Tokyo after the Gundam Fight, Domon Kasshu happens across a small girl with a heart as fiery as her wild red hair. Much like Master Asia did for him, he takes her under his wing, eventually adopting her as his own daughter. Eight years later, at the start of the 15th Gundam Fight, Kallen Kasshu, the heir presumptive to the School of the Undefeated of the East, enters the fray to represent Neo Japan with her Guren Gundam.
Headwind (Freezing AU)
Shortly after the death of his sister Kazuha, Kazuya Aoi's demands for answers from his grandfather Gengo lead to him learning some terrible truths about the true nature of his family. As payment for this information, Gengo forces Kazuya to attend West Genetics, where he faces multiple challenges: struggling to master his powers as a Limiter, reaching out to the cold, lone-wolf "Untouchable Queen" Pandora Satellizer el Bridget, navigating his odd relationship with his "aunt", and finding faith in his own humanity in the face of his new understanding of the world.
Hardly Harley (Batman AU)
Following Harley Quinn's failed attempt to kill the Batman for her precious Puddin', she's left with her own thoughts as she rots in Arkham Asylum. Slowly, if unsteadily, the mind of the woman underneath the rubble in Harley's brain begins to realize just what she got herself into, and that woman slowly, if unsteadily, begins to claw her way out of that rubble--brick by painful brick.
Kill the Void Sky (Akame ga Kill and Kamen Rider Kuuga/Agito crossover/AU)
On the day that he left his village with his friends Ieyasu and Sayo, Tatsumi received an ancient heirloom from the village chief known only as the Arcle. Though the three are separated not long afterward, he continues on to the Imperial Capital, but he soon discovers that the heirloom has a great power. Meanwhile, Ieyasu and Sayo arrive in the Imperial Capital and find themselves in a tight situation that seems completely hopeless until their desperation to survive awakens a seed of power within them.
When the three of them finally meet again, their new strength will shake the Imperial Capital to its very core.
Spiral la Kill (Kill la Kill/Gurren Lagann crossover/AU)
Kamina had his chance to see his little bro grow up to be a man that tore through the heavens, and he couldn't have been happier to see him do it. However, the work of a man of the Spiral is never done, especially when his manly spirit finds himself landing in a place called Honnouji Academy to assist a young hotheaded delinquent by the name of Ryuuko Matoi.
Dreams Conveyed by the Gods (Infinite Stratos AU)
Ichika Orimura's kidnapping during the Second Mondo Grosso, and the sacrifice his sister Chifuyu made to save him, taught him that he needed "strength" so that he could avoid becoming a burden to her again, but he didn't know anything about how to find it. By chance, a meeting with a quiet young woman named Hibiki Takane leads him toward his goal by teaching him the iaidou style, Musou Shinden.
Please note that while some oneshots may potentially expand out to full works, it is never a guarantee that such expansions will happen; it is dependent on my personal free time and my personal judgement about whether I can commit to the full story or not.
If I choose not to write a one-shot in the brainstorming phase, or expand your favorite one-shot into a full story, please don't take it personally; I just wanted the idea out there for what could be.
Regarding Sequel Fics:
What I said about one-shots being dependent on personal free time and personal judgement also applies to sequel stories.
I also like working with stories that are finished, or that have progressed far enough along that I can pick a good spot to end the story in question. Bleach is an example of a series that has gotten to that point (see the end of the Deicide and The Lost Substitute arcs); Sekirei is an example of a series that has not. In the case of the latter, I prefer to wait until the story has progressed to the proper point before starting to plan things out, so they tend to be much less likely to receive sequels.
That said, I will strive to eventually finish those stories some day. Unfinished work drives me crazy.
