Well, I feel like an old fogie compared to some of you. I graduated college (a little while back) and am now an American living in Central Asia. If you want to know more, ask I just don't want to post it here.
I have a little too much free time, so I'm back to the fanfic. I absolutely LOVE Gilmore Girls. Other favorite TV shows include: West Wing, Alias, The O.C. and Grey's Anatomy. I am eternally thankful for DVDs and VCRs. I have a friend who sends me current season and AFN gives me a few of the shows I love (but never at the right time of day).
In fact, I have so much free time I'm searching for an author in need of a beta. I don't typically have the muse to write my own stuff, but I love to edit. I'm sorry if I don't always review stories, sometimes I read at work and they have disabled sites that require a login, and I don't want to leave anonymous reviews. I do try and open it back up at home and review. One of the things that has been bothering me in reading some of the fanfic is homophones: take a look at the list and make sure that you are using the word that you really want to be using. I feel for those of you who are writing in English when it's not your native language (trying to learn Russian at my age has been hard), but those of you in the states are just not being pushed hard enough. I never really learned Englishgrammar until I took Spanish in high school.
As for pairings, currently I only read GG fics, so I look for Rogans and Trorys. PDLDs get some attention too. And once I find an author I like, I read all their stuff.
A few nights ago I got an idea for a story, so I am in the process of writing it. I want to have a couple chapters finished to see where to break it before posting. It's a little auto-biographical, with a spin.
