Author has written 5 stories for Chronicles of Narnia, Lord of the Rings, and Greek Mythology.
Hello! My name is Rorimac Underhill!
Out of boredom, I updated my profile! I know I should be updating my stories but...Enjoy!
My Favorite Authors: C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkein, and Agatha Christie
My Favorite Books: The Chronicle's of Narnia Series, C.S. Lewis's Space Trilogy (Out of the Silent Planet, Perelandra, and That Hideous Strength), Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Airborn by Kenneth Oppel, any book by Agatha Christie, and a dash of Harry Potter. Sometimes I'll pick up Eragon and Eldest, though I'm not an extreme fan. Lately, Jane Austen has grabbed my attention and I am really loving her books. They're so well written!
Book Quote of the Month (as of 1/21):
"It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man, in posession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife."
~Jane Austen in her book Pride and Prejudice
My Favorite Book Characters: Peter Pevensie (Narnia), Lucy Pevensie (Narnia), Elwin Ransom (Space Trilogy), Mr. Bultitude (Space Trilogy), Merry Brandybuck (LOTR), Eowyn (LOTR), Hercule Poirot (Agatha Christie), and Miss Marple (Agatha Christie)
My Favorite Movies: The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lord of the Rings, National Treasure, Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, and also Rear Window directed by Alfred Hitchcock in the 1960's (it's ancient, I know, but I love the story.) Another old movie I like is What's Up Doc?. It's a very hilarious movie that was made in the 70's. I've never been attracted to Star Wars. Too machinized (for lack of a better term) I thought, and I didn't like it when Obi-Wan said that "only the Sith believe in Absolutes" in the latest movie. By that statement, I suppose I'm a Sith myself because I believe that there is good, there is evil, and a defining line between the two.
My Favorite Music Singer, Groups, and Soundtracks: Rebecca St. James, Newsboys, U2, the Narnia soundtrack, the LOTR soundtrack, a new band called Story Side B, and The Fray
Music Quote of the Month (as of 12/28):
"I can't believe the news today,
I can't close my eyes to make it go away
How long, how long must we sing this song?
How long, how long?
We can be as one tonight."
~Sunday Bloody Sunday by U2 from their album War
Favorite School Subjects: English and History. I HATE science! Math is okay, but science is another story.
Hobbies: Reading, writing, hiking, computer, baseball fandom, and I play the flute in band as well. I love my flute. Music is a lot like another language. While I touch the silver buttons of my flute and read the notes, I feel as if I'm talking. I play songs to fit my mood most of the time. I haven't tried to compose anything yet, but as soon as I learn more about music, I'll be trying my hand at it.
Favorite Baseball Teams:The Phillies (they're terrible, but I like them anyway) and the Cardinals (Albert Pujols rocks and he doesn't use steroids like so many other baseball players!)
Favorite Things to Write About: I like mystery, poetry, and fantasy the best. I love any kind of mystery, particulary if its a murder. I love to solve them, but most of the time I pick the wrong person who did the murder (excepting a mystery called Hercule Poirot's Christmas by Agatha Christie. I deducted that one straight on!)
Things I Don't Like to Write About: I absolutely dislike slash and incest. It's just plain wrong and to me it's ruining the books and the characters as well. You're welcome to your point of view, however. If you want to write about it you can and I'll not read it. I like to stay out of T rated or M rated fiction in my stories as well. If I write (or read, for that matter) it will be K or K+ (though I might be pushing it with my Edmund Investigates stories!)
Why I Write On FanFiction: Basically, this is my only outlet for writing where I can get feedback on my work and where I can be creative. Some could argue and say that school is the same way, but I disagree. The point of school is that you are never alone when writing and most times you are given the topic (no matter how boring) to write about. However, when you write on your own, you are completely free from prying, big-nosed teachers, peer criticism that only makes your writing worse, and reports on why soda machines should be kept out of school cafeterias. It's much more fun here to be honest.
About Private Messaging and Email: My parents want me to disable private messaging and showing my email on this site, so if you can't contact me that's why. Parents can be so nagging sometimes but at least they're looking out for me!
Please read and review my stories!
