UPDATED INFO WILL ALWAYS BE IN BOLD AFTER BIO
Hi all! This is Oz Lovi, you're intrepid fanfic author here to introduce myself. After spending months just bouncing around the site looking at all the fantastic stories and authors out there I finally uploaded one of my own stories. I will say that Spice It Up, SG-1 is not my first fanfic story I've written, but it is the first SG-1 fanfic I've posted. I used to write Star Trek: TNG and Star Trek:Voyager fics that I would sometimes post on my own website.
I have a huge stack of fanfic that I've been working on and I will begin posting them. I would greatly appreciate constructive criticism and even just a note to say that you've read my work. That's the best way for we writers to grow. :o) I hope you enjoy them and I will tip you all off to the fact that I am a shipper. Now I tend to stick with one in particular, but I have noticed strong bonds between some other characters as well and am willing to work on those too. I do write more than shippy stuff but I also have a long history of enjoying historical romance novels when I was younger, so sometimes it just slips in. I should also mention that I have a background in theatre. :) Now as for the ship I tend to follow, that would be Jack and Sam, but I really enjoy team oriented stories too, and some other pairings out there. If your characters don't have good interactions, shippy or otherwise, they can't really connect and therefore speak to the audience. It is the connection, the bonds, between the characters that develop through the series and stories that makes them what they are. Again enjoy!
I suppose I could tell you all a smidge about me too, huh? I'm a woman, hopefully the Lovi part was a tip off. I'm in my thirties and have a hubby I love dearly and we have an adorable puppy girl named Missy, a protective puppy boy named Redd, and a bouncy puppy girl named Jasmine. I'm a Kansas native, hence the Oz part of my pen name. As I mentioned I have background in theatre both on stage and back stage, including musicals. What can I say, I enjoy creative expression in multiple venues. :o) In any case that's a smidge about me. As always, writers thrive on reviews so please let me know what you think.
UPDATE: July 16, 2012
I'm sorry that I seemingly abandoned my stories and reviewers. RL dealt us a hefty emotional blow with the unexpected death of my mom. It's not easy to talk about much yet, but I wanted to let everyone know part of the reason for the long break between updates. The other reason is purely don to procrastination and a runaway muse. I plan to get back to updating and posting sometime soon. I hope you'll all continue to read and review. Thanks.
