*TO READERS: On behalf of ALL writers...Whether you love or hate something that was written, You should always take time to let the authors that something they wrote affected you. Feedback is so important to the writers, both positive reinforcement and constructive criticisms! I've been talking to a lot of authors about this, and we are discouraged that no one seems to care enough to even say "Hey I really like that part when..." or "You what irked me about that scene where..." If you are a fellow writer, then you already know what I'm talking about. And I know it's just a general issue that everyone's reading and not responding, even to GOOD stories. It's not that hard. Leave the authors some LOVE, and encourage them to keep writing those stories that you love so much! It's writers' KARMA!

Back in 1999 I started writing FanFic, because a.) I was obsessed with the X-Files and Harry Potter b.) It was way more fun to write fics than a 10 page paper in college! I found FFnet back in 2006 during my Kingdom Hearts 2 phase, when I was dying for some closure..

Since 2010, I've gotten back to an old love: ANIME. Back when I was a little kid (5-ish?) I watched the original VOLTRON series and It was one of my first conscious TV obsessions. I had a Sailor Moon moment in my early/mid teens and a brief Pokemon phase in early college when it first hit the US market, but it passed. But now, the Otaku bug bit hard, and it's lodged there for good.

I tend to be a 'Shipper when I write...I prefer not to stray too far from original plot canon and/or character make-up and the evolution thereof, too. But I get so focused on the relationships between the characters. A sappy romantic, what can I say?

My advice to all of you aspiring writers out there. If you want to write well, read well. Think of the books you've read, and the language they use: Vocabulary, Expression, Descriptive style, etc. Make your readers, think, feel, taste, smell, and see what you and the characters do!

Anime: I have watched ENTIRELY TOO MUCH anime to name them all anymore, well over 200 different series/franchises. No, I haven't watched the BIG THREE (Naruto, One Piece, Dragon Ball...or Bleach, for that matter...It's entirely too much to take on.)

Why I love being a Dork: Because a dork stays young at heart, always finding joy in the little, seemingly stupid, things. I still dye my hair bright red from time to time, and rock out rainbow colored anything or be a hippie chick and wear sandals for three seasons, and I will never care! I may learn to manage life as an adult, and continue acquire wisdom through life's experiences...but I will always hold dear the things that truly have made me happy my whole life: Friends, Music, and Sharing.
