Just so everyone knows, my avatar image is actually my hand.
I am not on hiatus. I have just been really busy and I will be gradually getting to things.
Hobbies: Horse riding, writing, reading and sketching manga people on paper stacks,
Contact me: You can contact me in many ways. I always reply to reviews, even if it's just to thank you for reading. You can PM me and I will answer. I don't bite, guys!
Beta Reading: You might have noticed that I have a Beta Reader page that I haven't done anything with for a long time. Beta Reading wise, I will look over something if it's a one-off, or if I know you and am following a fic anyway, but I'm not open to any new big projects. Sorry guys, but I'm at university now, doing quite a competitive course and that takes priority, which means you could end up waiting a long time for me to get back to you.
The Caravan of Eragon: Sequel to The House of Eragon. It's been over a year. But I have not given up! It really is coming, guys! Chapter 15 is half done. My writing style has changed so much since this series started when I first joined FFnet in 2007 that I've found it difficult to keep the feel of this one the same. But I haven't given up and I still plan to finish this fic for good.
Remembrance: Chapter 3 up. 10 planned chapters. This was my first attempt at this genre. I hope to finish it this year so I can move on to some other exciting stuff. It's not likely to be updated that soon for personal reasons. Plus it's hard to write.
Paternity: Chapter 2 has been edited. Chapter 3 is in progress. I didn't write down my notes for it though, so I'll have to refresh myself with it. I'd originally planned it to have 4 chapters but we'll see.
Making A Memory: Was under revision. As of 18/01/2012, the prologue and chapter 2 have been revised and chapter 1 has been entirely rewritten. I'm happier with it now and Chapter 4 is almost ready for release.
Facilitating Fate: Chapter 3 up. Chapter 4 is nearly finished. I've written out the same scene from two points of view and I'm trying to decide which to go with. If I can't then I'll post both and let the reviewers decide which will stay there. This fic is one of the highest in terms of priority.
For The Ones You Love: Chapter 3 up. This fic isn't at the top of my list to update, so updates won't be very regular but I'm still writing this..
Not So Ancient History: This has become my 'unwinding' fic. Updates will probably be relatively regular - well, as regular as I get. Chapter 4 is up as of 19/01/2012. Chapter 5 is one I quite look forward to writing so it shouldn't be massively far behind.
Into Insanity: Chapter 2 up 19/01/2012. I have a lot planned for this fic. It's nice and multi-purpose. I'm not keen on chapter 2, but this one will get better. I don't put a lot of pressure on this one so again, updates shouldn't be as slow as they have been for fics like 'Remembrance'.
All of my older fics not on this list are either completed or on Hiatus.
And sadly, I have many other fics languishing in my laptop, waiting until I finish one of the ones I've already got...
A Few 6th Form and Uni Memories For Your Entertainment
(After translating a French girl's opinion from our A level text book)
Natalie: I like this one, she speaks the sense.
Natalie: I don’t speak the sense; I speak the fail.
(During a quiz between two teams in our French class. One team was winning spectacularly)
Poppy: I think that team should be frozen, ‘cause they’re like geniuses and we’re just-
Megan: Ow! I just poked my own eye!
Me: (Explaining the concept of Mary Sues)... Mary Sues just don't have flaws. Or if they do, it's twisted to be a good thing. They tend to be 'perfect'. So they'll be really powerful. Usually better than the hero since they don't have human flaws.
Nikki: They don't have floors; they have a ceiling.
Dr P: (Insert Question Here)
H: (Starts to answer)
Dr P: (Interrupts) Is that a Doctor Who badge?
H: Yes, it is.
Dr P: Ah, great! Continue.
(Studying a question in biology on a sheet that came from a book that studied plant life, about the average height of thistles. After I commented, “Who writes these?”, Louise announced to myself and Mr Gambold that she it would be her future career.)
Louise: And then I will be in these and people will be reading about Louise Ashworth and her travels across the ocean, across China, across the world!
Me: Searching the ocean to measure the average sample of thistles?
Louise: (Sagely) And find out there are none.
(Talking about the government’s free Chlamydia tests)
Louise: Is there any chance of me having Chlamydia despite the fact I haven’t had sex?
Me: Were you tempted to do the test too? I was.
Louise: But there must be starters of it who just have it so it can given to everyone else...
Me: And you think you could be a starter?
Louise: Yeah, it’s like: which came first, the chicken or the egg?
Me: Which came first; Louise or Chlamydia?
Louise: Hey! That implies that I’m the product of Chlamydia!
(On Anti-jokes – after the one about one baby tied to five trees being worse that 5 babies tied to trees)
Nomi: What’s worse than finding a worm inside your apple?
Me: Finding an apple inside your worm?
Nomi: The holocaust.
(Slightly shocked and disgusted but not amused at all pause)
Louise: My mum has worms.
Everyone: (stares) What?
Louise: ... In her garden.
Abi: (on Spelling) Even I know how to spell ‘though’. Spelling it 't h o' is lazy; that’s not how you win at scrabble.
I think Louise might actually need her own section. This isn't even all of them... Just the short ones.
Anyway, that's my profile. :) Hope you enjoy the fics!
