Meet the Author

Neither photogenic nor Frodo, although nearly short enough. Neither do I read/write LOTR fiction, although I love all things Tolkien. I do have a cat named Samwise, who does not garden or cook or carry it for me or carry me, but who I presume from the fact that he follows me at a distance of about 3 inches everywhere including the bathroom, has made a promise not to lose me and doesn't mean to.

I am a bookkeeper/office administrator/default IT person by day; writer/compulsive reader/hermit by night. I have never lived in any one home longer than four years, I paint and draw, I play classical piano (don’t hold your breath for my upcoming appearance at Carnegie Hall), I easily get overexcited about things like etymology and root words, and I studied Ancient Hebrew for fun. I play a wicked game of foosball. I may or may not have crocheted Baby Yoda ornaments for all my siblings last Christmas.

My writing tends toward the humorous, with a healthy dose of drama/action/adventure, and the occasional foray into the poetic. I'd say my strengths center on dialogue and character. You are guaranteed that I will show proper respect to the English language, observing all standards of correct spelling and grammar, even if I occasionally take deliberate artistic liberties. :)

Tales from the Chopping Block: A halfway house for the orphaned/discarded scenes, alternate takes, and so forth which are the inevitable consequence of writing stories. You know when you're making a pie, and you trim off the dough to fit the dish, and then you stare at it like, this is perfectly good dough, I know I don't need it but I don't feel like I should throw it away--this is that. No rhyme or reason, just tidbits you might find interesting if you like the stories they contributed to making.
