Author has written 2 stories for Persona Series.
A Canadian with too much free time. Long-time viewer and reading of fanfics, first-time author. Time to see how the other side lives, as they say. Sporadic Internet presence on account of living in an igloo with a satellite dish made of sticks, seal skins, and polar bear bones.
Don't believe me? -Sigh- Well, I tried.
Graduated university student who's spent almost six years going to school, and still not convinced I won't hang on for more. Regular reader of good fanfics in the place of real novels (it's cheaper and faster, and sometimes the quality's the same, if not better), though I'm starting to get back into paper literature. We'll see how long it lasts.
All things told, I'm fairly and unapologetically boring. I work in the summer to pay off going to school the rest of the year, I read academically and for leisure, I work at the university, and most of my friends are in the same boat, so I encounter them far more often online than in person. I'm an English undergrad, so I enjoy having my work critiqued more than receiving praise and hand-holding. Granted, being told my stuff's awesome is a nice ego boost, but I like to know why it's awesome or where people think it needs work. I learn best when someone tells me what I'm doing wrong - being told everything's perfect means I have nowhere else to go. And I've had essays and personal writing attempts critiqued by friends and profs for years, so I have a thick skin to commentary.
Beyond that, I'm pretty normal. I like the commentary. I'm using Continuance as a writing experiment, to try to set down regular writing times and sticking with something for an extended period of time, and while my updates may be sporadic, I have yet to give up on any project I really have my heart set on (no matter how long it might take me to get it out). So have faith, and PM me if there's ever a question or concern that doesn't need to be on the review board.
Update September 10/12
Have been thinking of some Mass Effect and Dragon Age fanfic ideas of late, and while I'm not going to start posting things before Continuance, as I don't want more projects on the go than I already have, I do have the notes down, so odds are that I'll be moving into those realms after Continuance is finished. At the rate I'm going, odds are I'll be writing them, to complete all three, for probably the next six or so years. So if you guys have any questions of comments on that, or on anything in general, feel free to post a review or PM me. I love talking with my readership about stuff.
Update - January 16/12
As for me personally, I use writing as an outlet, as so many others do, but because I read through books far faster than they're written and published, I'm writing my own manuscript. Reason? Well, a quote comes to mind for that - 'If you want to read a story, but can't find it anywhere, sit down and write it yourself.' That's one of the cornerstones of Continuance, and I don't know yet where I'll go after it's done. One of my goals in Continuance is to push myself to write well, hence my regular requests for feedback, and to further grow and learn about myself as a human being. Sounds cheesy, I know, but reading and writing are my 'zone', and I've learned a lot just in the act of writing itself. And if others are of the same mind, or just into what I write and submit online, then I'll keep going.
So, as you can see, I got a new avatar logo. This one was done by VertiEarth Creations for a very reasonable price. If you're interested in other works of his, check them out on FaceBook and Deviant Art - he's excellent at what he does.
University textbooks. Not as interesting as they sound
Whatever fanfics catch my eye at the time, though I keep coming back to the greats, like Interstitium in the Mass Effect fanverse, Hope and Faith in Resident Evil 5, and anything by Demonegg in the FF7 category. Her writing's different, but she's an inspiration to me.
Half done a few novels that I might get around to continuing some day.
Currently Listening to:
Anything lyricless, often of the New Age/Ambient variety. Serves as my 'Chill-out music.'
Nightwish. Have four of their albums, and love every song.
PSY - Gangnam Style.
