Author has written 7 stories for Mass Effect, Stellaris, Girls und Panzer/ガールズ&パンツァー, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, Re:Zero, and Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatte Iru Darou ka.
Huge fan of Mass Effect, original EU Star Wars, Dragon Age Origins (not the butt sequels), and a variety of strategy games like Stellaris. After lurking around on this site for a few months reading various fics, I finally decided to sign up for an account and begin writing my own. Romantic pairing in every one of my Mass Effect works will be Male Shepard/Liara.
Works Currently In Progress
Not Willing To Let This Go: My version of Mass Effect 1. Will stick for the most part to the plot of the game, although I reserve the right to fix plotholes as I perceive them; as my retelling of the trilogy goes on, it will become more and more AU. ME3 in particular can expect major alterations, though that's a ways down the line.
I'd also like to give a shout out to the Asari Mod for Stellaris by Princess Stabbity, who has managed to come up with an astounding array of asari ship names and designs, as well as names for asari individuals and planets.
As per my commitment above, this whole series WILL be finished, though it may take a while. Whether I write anything after that, depends on the reception this gets.
Jane's Fighting Ships, 2183 Edition: A companion work to my greater trilogy. Purely worldbuilding. Within this is going to be contained the technical specifications for every single class of warship operated by every organic navy in Citadel space, as well as a brief history of the design of that class and its current usage, as well as some other tidbits. Target date mid November 2018, along with the next chapter of NWTLTG.
There are certain other fics by different authors that I either consider canon to my own stuff or draw concepts from. Although nothing on this site is copyrighted and I'm pretty sure I can't be sued for plagiarism, it's still good manners to give due credit:
Works that I consider canon to my own
- The Siege of Shanxi by Made Nightwing. My series will assume the events in this as canon for the most part. In particular, my Shepard will use the background Nightwing sets out: Mark John Shepard, Spacer, father Mackenzie KIA in the First Contact War. As a major prequel to my own work that characters or their ancestors directly took part in, expect quite a few references to this.
- Mass Effect: Interregnum by The Naked Pen. This is the crown jewel of ME fanfic. Everyone that calls themself a ME fan ought to read it, and after having done so myself I can't imagine any other scenario for Garrus on Omega than this. Similar to The Siege of Shanxi, I will assume most of this as canon, with a few tweaked details. Consequently, Garrus will be offscreen post-ME1.
Works that I do not consider canon, but draw concepts or ideas from
- The Memoirs continuity by Sharrukin. I have a love/hate relationship with Sharrukin's stuff. On the one hand, it's the only extensive, grammatically correct, competently written from a technical standpoint, and COMPLETE MShep/Liara fiction out there, and the sheer breadth and scope of it is something that I want my own work to end up sharing. On the other, if Memoirs had been remotely satisfying, I would never have felt the need to write my own. Consequently, I will borrow a few elements and concepts from the universe (Liara will form T'Soni Analytics post ME1 and inherit a bunch of money from Benezia) but most of Sharrukin's OCs and major plot will not be in. I originally intended to include Vara T'Rathis with the aim of giving her a spectacularly gory death, but over the last year or so I've moved away from that. I have something... better... in mind for one of the most toxic and cancerous OCs ever made.
- The Premiseverse of Logical Premise. I have no intention of including any plot devices or scenes from Of Sheep and Battle Chicken, Premise's actual story. What I do intend to use is some of the broader worldbuilding materials that he's churned out to go with his stuff, the most detailed and well-thought out I've ever seen. Particularly the stuff on biotics and the biology of most of the various races (though not all, volus with bulletproof muscles is a little too far for me).
