Author has written 76 stories for Superman.
We have a LOT of stories and quite a few verses, so we figured we'd post up a guide for anyone landing here and wondering where they should go first. It's too big of a document to go on the profile, so we made it a separate file.
Most of what's here is in the Little Secrets AU 'verse, which began as a retelling of Superman Returns with Reeveverse characterizations and a set of twins instead of just Jason. There's already plenty of Last Son dynamics in the Superman world, why not explore some Supers who have never been alone, not even in the womb? LS is the first fic written, but the document lists them in chronological order. The story we're currently working on, Into Shadows, is set in this 'verse.
We also have the In Another Lifetime AU 'verse, which began with a Christmas fic challenge and continued through several other challenges. It's an exploration of another way Lois could have learned Kal-El's secret, essentially departing from canon at Superman II, in that they went to explore the honeymoon racket in North Carolina's mountains, instead of Niagara Falls.
There are plenty of fics that are Reeveverse canon compliant, as well. And a pair of fics we call the So Close AU 'verse which departs from canon after Superman III. Then there's two fics in the Tales of the Multiverse AU, which explores the meeting of a Lois and Clark from different parallel universes. (Incidentally, as far as that fic is concerned, all the variations of canon and all the fanfics ever written all exist as parallel worlds.)
The most AU of all is Across the Universe AU 'verse, which we WILL finish someday, we promise. It's essentially a story where Lois is the alien in Kal-El's world of New Krypton. It departs from canon in that Jor-El supported General Zod, and Krypton was evacuated before the planet's explosion.
07/28/19: So as it turns out, Into the Shadows had a bit more scope than we expected. We're going to tell the back half of that story in Chiaroscuro, which will start posting sometime in the end of August. It should be a shorter fic, though - then again we thought Shadows would be under 300k. More fool us.
After Chiaroscuro closes, we have a commitment to another fandom, but our stories there are in the 75k to 150k range, so it won't be long before we're back here for Blood Will Tell. Thank you all, once again, for following us on this long, weird, wild journey in the Lane-Kents' lives.
12/01/18: Happy Holidays! NaNo is over and we're back to posting Into the Shadows twice weekly. In other news, we have officially committed to both finishing Across the Universe, and to writing Blood Will Tell, which is the next fic in the Little Secrets 'verse, after In the Shadows. We do have commitments in another fandom (Labyrinth - the author name is Sarai of Umardelin), and it may be a while before we complete them, but we're gonna do it. We miss this fandom so much, and made so many lasting friends here.
8/14/18: Four years. That's one heck of a hiatus, isn't it?
We recently posted the closing summary of LaOH, since it's become clear that we had bitten off more than we could chew, and that fic in its existing format was never going to be finished. Now we're gearing up to start posting Into the Shadows, which follows Kala on her path toward becoming a fully-fledged hero. If you know and love Saavikam77, you can thank her for that fic's existence. Into the Shadows was about 75% complete after we and she worked on it, and it got fridged when Anissa's father died and our muses went into hibernation. It's my very great pleasure to bring that fic out, defrost it, and post it.
I have no idea who among the old crowd is still reading. New folks, be aware that we do not use or follow pretty much any of the newer Superman/DC Comics canon. Our characterizations and backstories are based in the Reeveverse Superman films, starting with Superman the Movie (1978), and cribbing from 75 years worth of comics whenever we needed to. It's our own universe, basically. And firmly pre-New52.
For the Bat side of things, think Burton films, some Nolanverse flavor (mmm, extra gritty!) but no actual plot points from those films, and especially the backstory presented in the Under the Red Hood comic. That does diverge from the film, in just who was responsible for Jay's resurrection and a few other details, but we cover that in the course of Shadows.
We hope you guys enjoy the story.
TMI on this annoying author-type:
Name: Lois Joos (Daddy's fault for the name; doesn't help that he worked for a newspaper, Jacksonville Times-Union, does it?)
Birthdate: 12/11/78 (The day of the Superman: The Movie London Premiere. Yes, totally nerdtastic!)
Current Location: Jax, Florida. How lovely a day it will be when I can leave the Home of the Mosquito!
Mental Location: Asheville, NC or Toronto, ON, depending on the day
Favorite Film: Narrowing this down would be impossible. As it is: anything Henson fantasy, The Professional, the Reeveverse films (although I love STM and SII: DC like WOAH and DAYUM), The Lady in the Water, Firelight, High Tension, Elizabeth, Up... Really, this could go on for hours...
Favorite Musical Artist: Again, totally random and eclectic: The Moody Blues, My Chemical Romance, Mozart, The Cure, Tori Amos, Vertical Horizon, Delerium, The Alan Parsons Project, Jason Mraz, Annie Lennox, classical remixes...
Favorite TV Shows: I don't watch too many current 'series' shows. I watch Smallville, Skins, and The Tudors, but I'm more of a Ghost Hunters-Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations-Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmeran-Investigation Discovery Channel kinda of girl. Now back in the day it was all about: La Femme Nikita, Beauty and the Beast, Scarecrow and Mrs. King, Remington Steele, Law and Order, Jim Henson's The Story-Teller. I think my biggest problem is just that not too many current shows have a way of captivating me. And I must be captivated to keep watching.

I can never repay the too-good-to-be-true that is this pair of marvelous women! I am a seriously spoiled lady!
These amazing writers are betas past and present for LS and/or Heirs and some are authors in their own right. Without them, you wouldn't have the fics you see here: Alphie, htbthomas, sean_montgomery, saavikam77, trekkie6, and glitter_my_glam. I really don't give all of them the love and care they deserve. We wouldn't be here if not for them. WE LOVE YOU, GUYS!
The MargotGabriele YouTube channel: Lois and her vain attempts to make fanvids. They're getting better. Still trying to make something decent on WMM. A few trailers for LS and several videos for RV in general. Wish I was a better vidder. dies
