Author has written 89 stories for Lord of the Rings, Inkheart, Inuyasha, Inheritance Cycle, Troy, Four Brothers, Crossing Jordan, Van Helsing, National Treasure, Twilight, Wrestling, and Thor.
Formerly Torilei. I just thought it was time for a name change. It's still me =) I have also recently been nicknamed the Princess of Suspense (though I've also been even more recently upgraded to the Queen of Suspense).
Current Icon: Loki. Because... well... Loki ;)
"Were I called on to define, very briefly, the term 'Art,' I should call it 'the reproduction of what the Senses perceive in Nature through the veil of the soul.' The mere imitation, however accurate, of what is in Nature entitles no man to the sacred name of 'Artist.'" -Edgar Allan Poe
"The generous Critic fann'd the Poet's fire, And taught the world with reason to admire." -Edgar Allan Poe
About my Writing
Story Requests: I do take them, but I think I'm going to have to take a step back from them for a while. I just need a little time to get where I need to be with my own stories for a bit. Though I have permanently closed the door on Twilight requests. Every story I've written for that category was written by request for a friend, and I really don't know too much about the fandom, and therefore I can't write too much on something I don't know too much about (and I really don't have enough of an interest to dig further into what I've already been told). However, once I get to a place where I can start taking requests again, I will primarily take Lord of the Rings ones, unless it's a category I feel comfortable enough with.
I do not write slash stories, so if you like slash, you're on the wrong writer's profile! Not that I have anything against it- I do not. It's just not my forte when it comes to writing, nor do I read it. Also, I tend to stick to canon pairings for the book/movie categories, but I will try different ones for the wrestling category (where I will also write wrestler/OC). That's if I write romance. I'm not the biggest fan of it. On the other hand, I'm a huge fan of father/son (or father/daughter in some cases) and sibling family fluff, so you'll be seeing a lot of that. Also, I tend to write quite a bit of dark, angst, and hurt/comfort stuff, too. And some humor, don't get me wrong. But if I write humor, there will be more to it than just straight humor.
Lord of the Rings and Thor (and possibly The Avengers) are my current focuses. And I have a few plot bunnies for Beauty and the Beast (2017).
I would like to thank everyone who has reviewed my stories, favorited them, put them on your alert list, or even just read them. I appreciate it, and I'm glad you're enjoying my stories. Thank you all so much! It means a lot.
NOTE: Okay, I really hate to do this since this site is all about fun. I have fun on here, and I know you guys do, too. That's the point of a social writing site, to write, to improve, and to above all, have fun. BUT, I have my own interests in terms of my stories that I have to look after and to address. Since this has now happened twice, it's come to the point where I have to say something here. If someone is inspired by something that I wrote and wants to play around with a similar idea, I don't mind at all. All I ask is that you tell me, and if you don't want to message me, credit me somehow as your inspiration in an author's note or something. Don't just blatantly take my idea and pass it off as your own. Believe me, I'd recognize my own stories in a heartbeat. When I'm inspired by someone or something, I give the proper credit, and I expect the same common courtesy in return. It's said that imitation is the purest form of flattery, but when something like this happens, I am neither flattered nor amused. I spend a lot of time and effort on every single chapter I post of every story, making it the best it can possibly be, and it's very offensive to me when someone just takes it and does it, too. I have a lot of friends, fans, and supporters on here, and for that, I'm very grateful. But when something like this happens, it ruins it for everyone, and it almost makes me think twice about posting my own stories on here. I love my own work, and I love the people who love it, and I hate seeing someone else pass something of mine off as their own. Believe me, I'll notice.
NOTE: As of 8/3/16, all of my Lord of the Rings oneshots ("Locked In," "Wilted," A Balrog in the Closet," "Temporary," and "A Day With Daeradar") have undergone general revision. Not overly much has changed, other than a couple more character elements have been added into "A Balrog in the Closet." My multichapter story "Tainted" has undergone the same treatment and will include the same character additions.
All righty, here's what I'm up to!
Iron Pen, Fortune Faded, and Ruffian (National Treasure)- Companion pieces to my story "Snow Angels." A look into how Ian Howe assembled the four men who become his trusted team. Genres will vary
Riptide (Lord of the Rings)- Sequel to "Ripple Effect." Drama/Family
Long Enough (Thor)- Brother-esque oneshot based on The Dark World. Drama/Family
Freefall (Beauty and the Beast, 2017)- A character study, of sorts, of Gaston and LeFou's complex and fascinating relationship dynamic. Oh, and some good ol' Stanley will be thrown in, as well. Tragedy/Angst
Feel free to PM me! I am always willing to talk with new people either to answer questions, offer advice, or just have a fun conversation =) But, I also have a twitter, so just personally ask me for that if you want to talk to me sometime! Thanks for reading my stories, guys!

Random Insights for The Lord of the Rings
Thranduil is not a tyrant, okay?! I refuse to read stories where he is portrayed as such. He was just being a good king. If you still don't believe me, read The Hobbit again. Tolkien writes that 'if the king had a weakness it was for treasure' not for beating up his subjects. In addition, he succours the Men of the Lake in their need, and Bilbo is willing to die for him. Moreover, do you really think Legolas would have been alright if he had been abused during his childhood? I rest my case! If you agree, copy and paste this into your profile, add your name to the list and spread the word. Elindë, Elven Warrior Princess, Gwedhiel0117, Tori of Lorien
Arwen did not rescue Frodo in the "Fellowship of the Ring" movie. She is not a warrior and Hadafang does not belong to her. Glorfindel is the one who rescued Frodo, but of course, he wasn't given the credit. As stated below, the ridiculous concept of Arwen being the hero is just a figment of our imaginations set in place by Peter Jackson. (From Gwedhiel)
My own takes on these wonderful characters that I will often approach my stories with (If you agree with any of them, feel free to copy and paste and spread the word!):
Oropher is not a tyrant. Plain and simple. Strict/stern? Yes. Proud? Yes. A bit harsh at times? Yes. Abusive to his son or others? No. A good father and a good king? Yes. How would Thranduil be such a good king if he was traumatized as a child because of his father's actions against him? Just saying. Would you want to invoke the wrath of Oropher or meet him in a dark alley though? Absolutely not.
Haldir did not die at Helm's Deep. Did Tolkien kill him off? No. His death in "The Two Towers" movie is just a figment of our imaginations set in place by Peter Jackson.
Galadriel is not a goddess. Nor is she all-knowing or all-powerful. She is an Elf, and like the rest of us, has her flaws. She does not have magical powers that will make everything okay again, contrary to belief. Yes, she has her Ring. Yes, that enhances some of her abilities. But does it turn her into a goddess? Absolutely not. Besides being an Elf and the Lady of Lothlórien, she is also a mother, a grandmother, and a wife- things that mostly get forgotten about.
Well, that's all about me! I'll just get back to my writing now =)
