Hi, my name is Barbara a/k/a Babette. My children are grown, so I'm a very late bloomer to writing fan fiction. I didn't even know it existed until recently. I've always loved to read, so quite unexpectedly, I started writing in March 2009! I've never taken any writing courses, but I'll never forget the feeling of putting those first words on paper. I knew deep inside that this ability to write has always been there and now, I still feel the same way. Growing up with Superman on my television for decades solidified my love for superheroes, movies about superheroes, and of course, television shows about superheroes. You get the idea. I freely admit... iz a geek!
Maya Angelou: Love recognizes no barriers, it jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination ... full of hope.

WORK(s) IN PROGRESS/STATUS:
Before You Go ~ Clark/Lois (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, 2016, Rated M). This is the third in a series of stories that began with 'Man of Steel: Stolen Moments' then continued with 'Till the End of Time.' The first chapter is set weeks before the events of Batman v Superman. Determined to share a few days together, they leave Metropolis for the weekend. The second chapter picks up in present time. I hope you enjoy and please leave a comment/favorite. Thank you. If you would like to see a fan-made manipulation of Henry as 'Bizarro' on Twitter (Click here). It's awesome, exactly as I pictured him! Ew, gross! LOL!!
Things That Never Die ~ Kara/James (Supergirl TV-2015, Rated T). Kara and James are at a crossroads in their lives, as evidenced by a few rather surprising revelations in the last few episodes that began the second season. In spite of that, I wrote this story about Kara/James or Supergirl/Guardian. I hope you enjoy it. There may be more to the story. Read on. Spoilers if you haven't seen the latest episode that aired October 17.
Well, it's now been seven years (and over one and a half million words) since I wrote my first fan fiction. The lists below are for readers who are new to my profile. And for those who've read my 'older' stories, thank you for reading and for the newbies, enjoy the fun, the angst, the drama and, of course, the happy endings!
Beginning in July, 2016, only the top TEN stories, including multi-chapters and one shots will be listed (separately). If you liked a story, please comment or a favorite would be nice too. Thank you.

Clark Kent/Superman & Lois Lane (CLOIS), my all-time favorite ship, rules around here guys and rightly so. I hope you like these stories, and don't forget my older stories. I'm very proud of those too. You know it's true what they say:
The writers who succeed, ultimately, are those who can bear the criticism and critique, who can accept it, grow and improve ... and keep writing.
