What happens when someone who has nothing to do but doesn’t get bored easily has per chance both an active mind and a wild imagination?
It becomes the birthplace of many an alter ego.
My first superhero-type cartoon as a child was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. None of my family or close friends ever found out, but I had constantly imagined what it would be like if I was someone other than me and placed in their plot, even if it was for only one time. I didn’t want the people I love to think that I was insane. But then again, I never truly had a definition for the word “normal”. To me, nothing was normal. Every object and situation in life is different, special, unique, and it is my sincere belief that they are to be treasured as such.
I had those ideas jotted down in one of my old notebooks, which I later dubbed to myself the “TMNT Journals”. I still have it...somewhere...
This was, of course, long before fanfiction writing became popular.
The years passed quickly, and although I grew older and wiser with time, I doubt that I really grew up. Through the years, the occasional jots in my notebooks had spread over a wide variety of superhero shows. The ideas that stayed with me the longest were associated mainly with Transformers (Beast Wars and Beast Machines) and Power Rangers (from the original series to Lost Galaxy, skipping everything from Lightspeed Rescue to Ninja Storm, resuming at DinoThunder, then leaving it alone). I was the type of writer who liked to incorporate my character into the original plots, just to play with how different the shows could be without actually changing the storyline. This manner helped me keep the true characters as real as possible when later creating completely original works.
Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go! was, at the very least, an accidental encounter, when I tried to record one of the Power Rangers reruns on Jetix and got the SRMTHFG episode “Wormhole” instead. Despite my extreme lack of knowledge of the storyline, it took me merely seconds to fall in love with the show, and within days, my most recent alter ego was born.
I never actually thought about publishing my work before. I’m not even certain what made me change my mind. Perhaps it was all the exploring of various websites about SRMTHFG, both official and unofficial, and finding many of them with forums containing links to this website. And my reasons for choosing to publish my SRMTHFG ideas were, as Gibson might say, beyond any logical explanation. Even today, my alter ego for this series is still underdeveloped, and I had only a few plots actually finished.
But, in a way, it did make sense. Despite the obvious differences between me and the character I’m about to present to you, this particular alter ego felt like a more accurate reflection of myself than any other I had created. So, all of you whom I haven’t made bored to tears with this rather lengthy story, I introduce to you myself as a Robot Monkey: Hayley Cometra, author of the “Hayley Cometra” series.
I’m a member of the Monkey See, Monkey Fu! forum.
Full Name: Hayley Cometra

Hair color: Coal black
Eye color: Soft green
Basic summary: Born after the War Between the Living and the Dead, he is Chiro’s 10-year-old son. He had never met the Monkey Team or Jinmay before because they were taken from Shuggazoom during the war. His hobbies include some things the Monkey Team enjoyed doing; reading riddle books (Antauri’s wisdom), drawing mazes on grid paper and solving them, (Gibson’s intellect), building model airplanes (Otto’s craftsmanship), flying the models (Sprx’s instinct), and exercising (Nova’s strength). Mandarin had kidnapped him to bargain against Chiro. Yet, even at his young age, he can see there’s more to Mandarin than meets the eye. The two are friends now, and this friendship has helped Mandarin become good once again. When Jiro was ill, Mandarin gave him part of his Power Primate to keep him alive, which has proved useful in reawakening four Robot Monkeys created by Professor Maezono (who is now called Brainiac). Jiro is the new leader of the Monkey Team, and Mandarin is his second-in-command.
Name: Mystique, or Myst for short
Fur color: Purple
Eye color: Pink
Weapons: Water cannons
Basic summary: While Nova was deactivated and captured by Brainiac, her genetic and technological blueprints were scanned for the villain's use. With Nova's weaknesses, he created Myst and forced fights to see how Myst performs on the battlefield. She, along with the other three creations, were abandoned for a lost cause when the Monkey Team was rescued, but Jiro reawakened them. Like Nova, Myst is a force to be reckoened with when provoked. But unlike Nova, Myst is kind, gentle, and tenderhearted, and she hates to battle; so it's difficult to provoke her. She likes to spend time in the Sick Bay, reading books about illnesses and their cures. She pilots the Foot Crusher Cruiser Six.
Fur color: Brown
Eye color: Mustard yellow
Weapons: Double-bit axes (which means a blade on both sides)
Basic summary: While Otto was deactivated and captured by Brainiac, his genetic and technological blueprints were scanned for the villain's use. With Otto's weaknesses, he created Bruno and forced fights to see how Bruno performs on the battlefield. He, along with the other three creations, were abandoned for a lost cause when the Monkey Team was rescued, but Jiro reawakened them. Bruno and Otto are very much aline; both are optimistic and cheerful, eager to lift up the downcast spirits of their teammates. But Bruno isn't clueless like Otto is; he knows a really bad situation when he meets one. He has shown signs of potential for being the team's third in command. He pilots the Foot Crusher Cruiser Five.
Fur color: Dark gray
Eye color: Cyan blue
Weapons: Grapplers with four hooks on each
Basic summary: While Sprx was deactivated and captured by Brainiac, his genetic and technological blueprints were scanned for the villain's use. With Sprx's weaknesses, he created Tempest and forced fights to see how Tempest performs on the battlefield. He, along with the other three creations, were abandoned for a lost cause when the Monkey Team was rescued, but Jiro reawakened them. Tempest tends to be a loner, keeping his physical and emotional distance. He'll follow orders when given them, but he's not a team player; he'd rather win his own battles and earn his own merits. He's quiet, but he's not shy. He pilots the Fist Rocket Three.
Fur color: Pink
Eye color: Dark green
Basic summary: While Gibson was deactivated and captured by Brainiac, his genetic and technological blueprints were scanned for the villain's use. With Gibson's weaknesses, he created Espina and forced fights to see how Espina performs on the battlefield. She, along with the other three creations, were abandoned for a lost cause when the Monkey Team was rescued, but Jiro reawakened them. She's best described as "a rose without any of its thorns trimmed off". She's playful, mischievous, unpredictable, and spontaneous. She's a prankster willing to do anything for a laugh, even at the harmless inconvenience of her teammates. She is fascinated in botany, and when she's not plotting her next prank, she can be found in her greenhouse tending a variety of plants. She pilots the First Rocket Four.
