I'm a fan of many things, have parrings I like who do not contradict each other (like, Character A/Character B and Character A/Character C; I have several reasons why), I also don't write what I don't like, have learned to comprehend "don't like, don't look" and to control my tongue. I respect your opinions and I hope you respect mine as well.
I believe dubbing something as "cannon" or "fannon" defeats the purpose of fanfiction (to a degree, at least). I acknowledge that there is a certain way things happened in the book/movie/series/etc. according to the author, but being able to write fanfics gives us a chance to have fun, investigate and celebrate our fandoms. In my eyes, if you're just going to complain how something's not a certain way, be it how it was in the original or otherwise, why are you there looking at it in the first place?
Though I've been writing fanfiction for quite a while, I still have a hard time writing romantic smut/lemons/what have you. Either they're never quite good enough or just not really necessary. Sometimes a kiss and/or a confession will do. BUT, that doesn't mean I don't enjoy reading them!
I get inspired by most anything, and quite often at the most inopportune time.
I cna't spell weel otfen. Recently, I've discovered that this holds true in any language I attempt to communicate in. That's why I thank God for spell check.
Last but not least, I tend to stick to one-shots because life likes to rear its ugly head every once in a while, and I tend to update s-l-o-w-ly. It's painful sometimes, but I'm still here, lurking, reading, and-- occasionally-- writing.
So take a look, and I hope you enjoy!
Have a flower-scented day!*
