"It's a strange book and I'm inside it. So I'm trying to pin down the details about the the plot in this book. The one where I'm the protagonist in a plot much larger than I am. A book that I can't simply put down when I'm frustrated. With no bookmark, no remote control. The pages write themselves with very little effort of my own. And yet I'm in there. I'm written into the book."

(seriously, if it's here, i've put blood, sweat and tears into just reading it. i've read thousands of fics (literally) and these are the ones i consider bookshelf worthy)
1) Wide Awake by AngstGoddess003
Okay, not even kidding. Best piece of fanfiction I've ever read. Words can't describe. This is mind-blowing and brilliant. Wow. And I despise Twilight. This should seriously tell you something! (I suggest the censored version here on FF.)
2) the fear that gave me wings by beautifulbones
This is beautiful. And tragic. But the writing is just gorgeous. You get so lost in the descriptions and the love and the letting go. This chick seriously turned an immature Disney relationship into something classy and truly beautiful. This is how I desribe this story: beautiful.
3) Figment by aprosexia.
Flows so perfectly. It's so freaking poetic and too above my head for me sometimes. I feel like I'm sitting in a bubble wilst reading this story. I really can't describe it. But I promise it's worth the read.
4) Concealed Remonstrance by Jaydat
Dark but incredibly appealing. You get extremely caught up in the story and the characters and the honest and raw descriptions. Amazing.
5) Heart of Ice by Ryleigh04
One of the very first fanfics I ever read. And I still read it from time to time. This brought an entirely new depth to Sharpay Evans, to me. The relationship between the two main characters and the way they are there for each other...gah, just so incredible. Love this one.
6) Going Home by Lissical
Another oldie, in my book, but a serious goodie. Kind of dramatic, but it's a mature dramatic. Really east to get lost in.
7) About Me and You by wonderwaller
Another dark one. The relationship between the two is so confusing that you just keep coming back for more. Probably the first dark fic I read. It opened my eyes to a whole new world of writing. Really amazing.
8) Here Now by acatwithshoes
Wow. Wow. Wow. This story. There are no words. You completely forget that the two characters have never ever been paired with in the show. It's so freaking realistic. Love this chick's writing, as well.
9) Brick by acatwithshoes
I'm fully aware it's just a one-shot. But crap. It felt wrong not including it. Greatest one-shot I've ever read. The writing is just...wow.
10) How to Save a Life by unholy.obsession
This story is seriously heart-wrenching. I teared up quite a few times in the midst of my time reading this one. I could really relate to Bella in this story so it hit a lot more close to home than most stories I've read. Definitely worth your time! One of my all-time favorites. I still re-read this from time to time.
