![]() Author has written 41 stories for Stargate: Atlantis, and Stargate: SG-1. I'm a part-time piano teacher with three children, currently 15, 13 and 10. I started to write fanfiction in 2018, after I discovered the cancer I had six years ago had spread to my liver, which sounds really depressing; well it is, isn't it? But anyway, I find that being able to disappear into a complete fantasy world really helps. It helped me through chemo and the recovery from surgery, and through another recurrence last year, and helps get me through the terrifying wait for scan results every three months. I write almost continuously so that I always have a world to go to and I enjoy living in the worlds I create. I try to keep true to the characters and sometimes I feel like they write themselves; if you put them in a situation they just run with it! Writing gives me joy and excitement every day and I'm very thankful for that. I'm very grateful to all my wonderful reviewers. It's lovely to think that other people inhabit my worlds and enjoy the situations and characters I invent. Your words mean a lot to me. Even if you read a story of mine that's a couple of years old, please comment, even just a word or two. I see the numbers on my statistics page, so I know people are reading, but I wonder what they think and what they enjoyed and would love to make some kind of connection, particularly at the moment when any connection is precious! My fanart (from pastels, to Lego, to cake, to Feltlantis) is on Archive Of Our Own, including a separate art post for Cold Wind from Teksa'corani which has pictures for each chapter and some music that I've written and recorded. Please have a look! My user name is Salchat there too. |
