To my wonderful reviewers,
Whether you leave essay-long or short reviews, I am always grateful for the time you take to type something up and click a button. It's nice to know my small talent is appreciated and the encouragement keeps me writing. You see I aspire to be a great novelist one day, so all the fanfiction is just practice for the big time. It saddens me there is not much I can do in return except tell you how each of you is special to me. I hope you achieve your dreams some day, too, and no matter what anyone tells you, nobody can stifle your dreams except you.
My Feelings on the Twilight Saga:
-Teaming... I went from being on Team Edward, to Team Emmett, to Team Edward again, to Team Seth, to Team Jacob--actually, I thought I was team Jacob until I realized that the obvious team was set up me the whole time, much like Jacob's own love story. Team Nessie!
-Nessie is a much better and cuter than Renesmee. Kudos to Jacob and his laziness.
-While I don't consider myself an E/B fan, I do have a soft spot for them. A small one, though, one that would involve purchasing a miscroscope if you wanted to see me at all gush over them. Granted, I'm bias to Edward. I appreciate how willing he is to sacrifice his own happiness for Bella, and that he's usually trying to convince her that while her physical appearance surpasses all, he's not in love with her body. I wish I could say the same for Bella, but she babbles about Edward's outer-beauty too much.
-I am definitely not a J/B fan. Never was. Never will be. Don't get me wrong, though, people. I'm all for them having a solid friendship, but their so-called romantic "love" just doesn't convince me. I honestly view it as an infatuation, as Jacob was always thinking about himself and his needs, not only forcing Bella into kissing him but tricking her as well. Oh, and let's not forget that this apparent "love" actually had Jacob contemplating a baby's death. Yes, because he wanted to destroy Edward that badly, and never mind what Bella would have thought... And I never fell in love with Bella constantlly using Jacob for all he was worth, and then proceeding to kick him while he was down. For instance, after she gives birth to Nessie and knows she's safe from the wrath of Sam's pack, Bella wants Jacob to leave and gripes about it quite a lot until she figures out the real reason why Jacob is sticking around. That amazes me, too, after Jacob put his butt on the line for Bella, despite everything she's done to him and when he didn't want to protect the Cullens to begin with, he did and Bella's not at all grateful.
-On the other hand, I appreciate Jacob's hardship. In his darkest hour, Renesmee exposed everything Jacob could be capable and everything he became--a man.
-Still, how is Nessie supposed to react to all the things that happened prior to her birth? Edward and Jacob's mutual hatred for the monster growing inside Bella's body, Jacob's feelings for her mother, and so on...
-I'm not into Blackwater, Renesalec, or Seth/Nessie. Thank goodness for canon.
-I do not think Nessie will be like Bella as that would really annoy me, and I never personally got that impression. The main dyanmic about Jacob's imprint is that it was meant to be ironic. Nessie is half-vampire, and it's said many times how much she is meant to look like Edward. She rolls her eyes like Edward. She blames herself in certain situations like Edward. Indeed, though, I'd like to think that Nessie would inherit Bella's blush and her off-center of gravity. By the way, I think since Nessie is a half-vampire this is where hers and Jacob's competitive nature comes from.
-Bella is by far one of the most annoying heroines ever. Her daughter is much more interesting.
-Rosalie is awesome in my book, too. Contrary to most ficcage out there, I don't think Alice would end up being Nessie's favorite aunt, best friend, or fashion guru. I'm sure Nessie is very fond of Alice, but the Nessie in my head prefers not to be her aunt's personal doll. Meanwhile, Rosalie is rightfully given the title of godmother to Nessie, and in turn Nessie adores Rosalie. However, Nessie doesn't intentionally play favorites, but Rosalie is the one she goes to for girlie advice such as clothes, relationships, and that certain thing you just don't talk about with your parents.
-I think Jacob and Rosalie would develop a platonic love for each other over the years. They would, naturally, be the center of one another's pranks on April Fool's Day.
-Anyone who thinks Jacob/Nessie is a disgusting pairing is a straight up fool for even going there. I mean, what does it take to prove that Jacob is not thinking about wooing a freakin' baby? C'mon. Does Edward (the mind reader) have to read Jacob's mind? Did that already. Does Jacob has to say it himself? DID THAT, TOO! Gosh...
-Much to my dismay, I was actually saddened by Jacob's departure at the end of Breaking Dawn as throughout the other three books, I just wanted him to scram. Granted, I should have guessed he'd eventually leave (and I was happy he gave a sleeping Nessie a parting kiss on the forehead), I was really just cringing through the E/B sappy ending.
-I'm infinitely mad at Edward for say sparkly Bella is prettier than Nessie. But I'm not so mad at Charlie for saying Nessie takes the cake when it comes to cutest baby, including Bella. Only difference is, Bella has no problem with admitting Nessie is prettier, but Nessie was obviously indifferent to her non-diamond skin. What the ache, Eddie? And Jacob, too, for stuffing his face while this was said. Ugg.
