I'm a french canadian 30-something who grew up on Harry Potter. Probably played some subconscious part in my decision to study in England for 5 years. Here are some opinions in no particular order : Harry Potter fanfictions simultaneously saved and doomed my PhD and all other productivity-oriented parts of my life. JKR is a terfy twat but I can't let go of HP. Fanfiction is my way to carry on with it I guess. Fanfic authors needs to stop marrying their characters right after Hogwarts. It's weird, and honestly quite sad. I like the headcanons to be challenged Haphne fan. Because Daphne is a blank canvas. Dumble bashing, Ron bashing, Ginny bashing, Molly bashing, and to some degree Hermione bashing have been overdone. Please move on (: |
