Author has written 5 stories for Newsies, and Naruto.
I've got a new fic! It's much better than the crap that's up now (which is only staying up so I can remain a beta). However, I am looking for a beta myself, so if you think you'd be interested...
Right now I'm into Bleach in a big way. Other manga/animes I'm familiar with are Naruto, Code Geass, FMA (manga and both animes. And the movie. Which is ALMOST awesome enough to be worth suffering through the original anime), D. Gray-man (manga and anime) and Avatar the Last Airbender, even though I'm not really sure that that one counts, since it's American. Oh yeah, and I read Fruits Basket ... for ... well, a while. I think I got about halfway through and kind of lost interest. >_>
Want to get in touch? Send me a line through the site, and I should respond within around 24 hours. I am more than happy to communicate with you through other means, too (actually I really PREFER to communicate through other means. Ff.net is a hassle). Just let me know!
P.S. Feel free to talk me about ANYTHING, seriously. I will be more than happy to talk crochet, knitting, piano, singing, chainmail, whatever. I'm a very flexible person. I only ask that you please be polite.
One last thing — I know I have several stories up, but they were all written quite a while ago, and should probably be taken out somewhere quiet and shot. Seriously, they're BAD. I'm just too lazy to take them down. :P
ABOUT ME (In brief(s?)):
Weeeeeeellllll, I'm really not that interesting, but here's the basics:
-I'm going to college for film, although that may change
-I'm a vegetarian
-I'm a Christian. I will be happy to discuss it with you, as long as you can agree to keep things civil and show me a modicum of respect. (By the way, this hardly has anything to do with being a vegetarian, in case you were wondering. That's just basic decency.)
-I'm aiming to be a 1st Assistant Director for films when I grow up. I'm too lazy to tell you what that is right now, so you'll have to google it. For those of you too lazy to google, just know that it is FREAKING AWESOME (okay, not really, but I do happen to think that it's pretty cool)
-I have three adorable cats: Loki (the oldest, and the only boy), Myst and Petra (everyone else in the family will tell you her name is Riven, you know to go with Myst (google it, you ninny). They are LYING. Do not believe their LIES. And yes, if you're curious, she is named after the character from the Ender's Game series. They have very similar personalities. :P) I miss my kitties a lot when I'm at college. ;_;
-I'm not that great a writer (unless you want snark. I'm reeeeeeeeeealllllllly good at snark. I like snark. Especially meeeeeeean snark. For some reason, my teachers don't seem appreciative said snark. I wonder why.), but I really love editing, and I'm always happy to tell you what I think of something, even if you don't want me to formally beta for you. That said, I'm, um, not very good at leaving reviews when I'm just reading normally. Like, ever. If I really, REALLY, absolutely LOVE a story, I'll consider it, but even then, I mostly do it if it's unfinished or recently finished. So, um, if for some reason you want me specifically to look at your work, drop me a line, and I will leave you a beautiful review, handcrafted by the skilled hands of starving children in China. Er, by me! I mean by me, of course. Yeah. Definitely. >_>
ABOUT ME (Details. Sort of.):
Regular books I like: Lord of the Rings, The Oracle Betrayed trilogy, Harry Potter series (book seven's my fav), The Dresden Files series (don't even talk to me about the TV show), Neverwhere and Anansai Boys, the Pendragon series (except the last book, which I really kind of hated. Which is kind of sad, because the one before it was my favourite), the first Artemis Fowl (the others pretty much sucked), the Chronicles of Narnia, the Bartimaeus Trilogy (first one's the best; the other two are merely meh, but I thought I'd go ahead and stick them in), Crown Duel and several anthologies including The Faery Reel. There's more (I'm a VERY prolific reader), but I can't think of them at the moment.
Movies I like: Prince Caspian (2008), Newsies, Lord of the Rings (surprise, right?), Pirates of the Caribbean (World's End is my favourite), Phantom of the Opera, The Princess Bride and all of the Star Wars (yes, even the first three, thankyouverymuch.) You know, for all that I'm majoring in film, I really don't watch very many.
I DO NOT, IN ANY SHAPE, WAY OR FORM, LIKE TWILIGHT. If you do, good for you. You have every right to do so, and I will respect that. I, however, reserve for myself the right to hate it whole-heartedly.
Music I like: I really don't care. I can listen to most anything but rap and country, both of which drive me up the wall. For all that I'm a musician, I really don't keep up with contemporary music at all.
Stuff I do: read (obviously), write (another no brainer), make jewelry (mostly chainmail), play piano, sing, waste time on teh intarwebz, act (on stage) (this is seriously loads of fun, and strangely enough, it's why I'm a film major. Go figure. Anyway, if you've never been involved in a play, go sign up at your nearest playhouse or at your church or school or something. It's worth it, trust me. Even if you're working behind the scenes, there's just a sort of magic to it. And you WILL make friends — you can't help it, even if you're socially retarded, like me. Seriously, actors are some of the nicest, most accepting people I know. It's a beautiful, beautiful thing, and everyone should try it at least once in their life) and read webcomics (Questionable Content, Sam and Fuzzy, xkcd, Applegeeks, The Bend, and Johnny Wander). I also knit and crochet, and I am hoping to talk my dad into teaching me some guitar over break.
People I admire/want to be like: my dad, Teddy Roosevelt, Peter Jackson (love him SO MUCH), Winston Churchill, Terry Pratchett, Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, Viggo Mortenson, Johnny Depp, Anna, Kirsten, Erin, Sam, Rachel, Merry. You know you you are.
Note: this doesn't mean that I approve of or agree with everything these people did/do. YES I KNOW ROOSEVELT/LEE/JACKSON WERE RACISTS, THANKYOUVERYMUCH. SO WAS EVERYONE ELSE BACK THEN. THEY WERE ALSO REALLY GOOD GUYS, AS WELL AS BEING FREAKING AWESOME.
