Welcome to my profile.
Its been awhile since I was on this site and I have in that time reached a decision. I have realized that I enjoy writing about my own characters, rather than those of others. Therefore, I have decided to remove my story from this site, but don't think you've heard the last of little old me.
Many people in the world criticize the writers of fanfics, deriding their pursuits and ideals as cheapening things and bastardizing characters. Many view fanfics as a low form of writing.
Those people are idiots.
I am reminded of the philosophy of NaNoWriMo, an annual event I am ashamed to say I have never completed:
Don't worry about the quality of what you write. The point is that you are writing.
A strange philosophy, certainly, but it holds a certain charm, nonetheless.
That is not to say, however, that I think what all of you write on this site lacks quality. I admire the people of this site who have the courage to write what they feel like writing, without worrying what others may think. And while I may not agree with everything you write about, (I doubt I will ever understand LinkxNavi) It brings a smile to my face to know that you wrote it. In a world where writing is so precious, we often think to much about what we think of someone's writing, rather than how being able to write in the first place makes them feel. Whenever I read a story on this site, I often stop to wonder how it must have made the author feel to be able to write and post that story. I try to understand why they wrote, even though I probably never will.
But I digress, I'm probably starting to sound stuffy or cheesy, but I will say one more thing before this profile ends. Never stop loving what you write, or writing what you love. Even if your story is flamed and criticized, remember that even the most belittled story that you write is a part of who you are, and you should always at least like yourself.
So, dear people of FanFiction.net, I leave you with a somewhat corny saying paraphrased from the William Hartnell era of Doctor Who
"...there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine."
