Some of you may have noticed my long absence. For this, I hope I can be forgiven. These stories grew in my imagination the whole time. For whatever reason the characters called to me again and I could not refuse the need to write.

I intend to finish these stories. I will not claim soon since I promised that before and took a hiatus of almost seven years. The idea is to finish Pioneer and Brother Against Brother before moving on to another story in the Dune universe.

I have to thank everyone for the support you've given me. Writing is lonely business, and your input can drive the story ahead by simple anticipation. I can only tell everyone the encouragement and constructive criticism is welcome. After this long away from the story, I'm slowly finding the voice of it again, but under vastly different stars than the ones I launched Pioneer and the Brothers Lasck into. My only consolation is I still know where they are going about as well as I know where I've been all this time.
