Author has written 1 story for Aliens/Predator.Well then. Let's give this a try. (Ahem.)
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...
In space, no one can hear you scream.
Let us go out this evening for pleasure. The night is still young.
In all honesty, I have no idea what I'm doing here. Where am I going to find the time to write? I'm a thirty year-old dropout who's somehow managed to sneak into the Bachelor of Science: Nursing program at my local campus, and the workload is bloody intense. (Especially with the 'getting used to homework and exams et al.' after a decade of lazy-bumming around.) Who would have thought R.N.'s had to do this much research? I thought it was about, y'know, medicine, science, compassionate caring for sick folks, that sort of thing, not poring over theory articles and writing APA papers night and day. Shouldn't all that be monopolizing every conscious moment of my time?
OK, enough about me and my dull life. Hell, that's partly what got me here in the first place. I have an imagination that starts to get withdrawal pains if I don't do something to exercise my creativity, and what with school and all, the tabletop roleplaying games I used to run have fallen by the wayside. No more medieval fantasy, no more depths of space, no more supernatural horror stories for my fevered brain to conjure up and share. I've got one creative outlet left, an original science-fiction novel that I've been scribbling away off-and-on for years (66,000 words now!), but frankly, I need a break. I want to play with different stories, characters, and themes.
So, here I am.
I figure on putting out stories based on my many roleplaying campaigns in various themes, and my games set in the Aliens setting, the Star Wars setting, and the Vampire/Kult setting have been my most vivid and successful. That's the type of stories that should be showing up, assuming I can stop editing/nitpicking and actually upload them. Like any other wannabe artist, I'm an absolute attention-junkie, please read and critique when they get here! Feedback, be it good or bad, is the fuel that keeps us writers going.
Oh and hey, go see Mist Archon's story pretty please, I've got him in my favourites. He has an Aliens horror-suspense, an absolute white-knuckle page turner in my humbly biased opinion. ( System Warning! Jealousy overload, now venting steam from ears. Please enable competition subroutine immediately. ) He's the other reason I'm here, I hope I can show him how a real writer does the job. ;)
Thanks for visiting!
From these my profit is made.
Though my body's not tall and my courage is small,
My fame will take longer to fade."
