Author has written 10 stories for Evangelion, Rurouni Kenshin, My Little Pony, and Arthur.
Seriously though, please DO NOT bring on the spam, it's not something I'm really looking for...
I'm a 27-year-old male. I've written some stories on here a few years ago, but it's up in the air if I will ever get back to those old ones.
Favorite types of stories to write :
I really used to like writing comedy and crack-fics, but now I've wanted to start writing some more dramatic, serious stories, with maybe a little humor thrown in every once in a while. Romance seems to be the genre of choice for me these days, which is a lot more surprising to myself than it really should be... I've definitely acquired a taste for tragedy, and sometimes morbidity, too.
Favorite character type :
I'm quite partial to the mentally and morally unbalanced anti-heroes, characters who have comedic, cynical world views. The good, heroic acts they perform are solely self-serving power trips and addiction feeds, disregarding anyone else as an obstacle, even if they have some sort of assistant, familiar, or psychotic fan contributing to their successes. I guess this could also apply to a hero's sidekick as well, depending on the story, especially if the primary hero is a social butterfly whose morality and sense of justice are incredibly self-righteous.
Grievances while reading others' works :
I don't have that many. However, I don't really like it when the first paragraph I read of a story starts out with "It was a bright, sunny day in (insert place), the birds were chirping...etc." I've seen that same opening a thousand times, and I like more creativity in them. Also, if a story starts out with an exhaustive description of the protagonist, or even hints at one:
i.e. "This is Joe Blow. He has blue eyes and brown hair. He is 5'11, and has an athletic build. He's wearing a red t-shirt and baggy jeans. He's a typically nice guy in his everyday life, but during a full moon he transforms into a werewolf. Did I mention that he's a werewolf?...yeah...that's kind of important."
it can be a story killer for me.
Another would be the text wall of death, where an author crams an entire chapter into one, 3000-word paragraph, completely ignoring spacing and, in some cases, punctuation. Just horrible! Windows Notepad (my writing canvas) is one of the most god-awfully unsupported computer writing tablets for this site, and somehow I still manage to avoid text walls. I think that is saying something right there...
I'm usually pretty prompt in responding to PMs, getting on most days and during the night if I can manage, but I have a tendency to vanish off the face of the Earth every once in a while.

Nicest bunch of guys and gals I've seen on a forum yet. They're available anytime if anyone needs writing help or beta reading services. You can also just come and talk in non-member topics if you need a supportive ear on something.
I suppose I should make a disclaimer saying that I always leave reviews on my log-in, NEVER anonymous. If someone tries to impersonate me (don't know why they would, but for security's sake) as an anon reviewer with the same name, it is not me.
COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT -
Manager of "Timeless Affection: A Celestia/Luna Romance Archive"
Since I couldn't write more into what I wanted to on the description, I'll just put what I was going to say about archive submissions here.
I will accept all Celestia/Luna romance stories (only), K through M rated, provided for M rated stories that:
a. I would rather it not be a straight clop-fic, but the steamy, explicit love scenes are still fine with me as long as there is some depth to the story itself, as in not a cheesy PWP. I'm creating this archive to add stories that break the mold from the out and out clop-fics, of which I notice most C/L stories fall under. That is my only reason for not allowing them (negotiable upon my own reading of the work in question, and I'm usually pretty lenient, but I still have the final say).
b. The story doesn't break the site rules (all ratings non-exempt from that). Please make the story both tasteful (no heavily MA rated stuff please, such as extreme fetishism or rape; allusions to rape are fine, as long as it contributes to the overall plot; heavy violence is fine, though please be mindful of what constitutes MA in that regard), and free of song-lyrics (even your own, just to be safe), chat-speak, and anything else that is prohibited by the guidelines of FF.
c. (optional) It makes a profound emotional statement that drives me to stand up out of my writing chair and literally applaud you as a god amongst mortal authors, and convinces me to jot down your pen-name into the list of "Writers Who Gave Me Goosebumps, Made Me Shed Tears, and Made Me Wet My Pants, All at the Same Time".
That's about the gist of it. Do all of those things (yes, even the optional one, DO IT) and I will be more than honored to add your (or someone else you are vouching for's) story to this archive.
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR/SOMEONE'S STORY - Please PM me if you would. That goes for any questions, comments, or otherwise as well. When you PM me, give me the title of the work and the author (the more info, the easier to track it down), and I will read it myself so that I can be sure that it is compliant with site guidelines, and my own guidelines for M rated stories. I'll PM you again with the approval in the positive case, and a thumbs down in the negative case (once again, might be negotiable depending on the circumstances).
Afterward, welcome to the community! You are helping add to the tiny library of Celestia/Luna stories on this website, and as it is my favorite ship, you have my most sincere gratitude.
FOR OTHER USERS - IF YOU HAVE BEEN BULLIED BY ME (not likely) OR A MEMBER OF MY STAFF, INFORM ME IMMEDIATELY, AND WE WILL RESOLVE THE ISSUE IN A SAFE, PROFESSIONAL MANNER/I WILL APOLOGIZE FOR MY STUPIDITY!
(Update; July 8, 2012 - I also lurk for stories on my own, so I may actually find someone's [even yours possibly] story and add it myself. Also, I will be adding my own stories [that are similarly compliant to all of the above] to the archive. What? Yeah, I'm plugging my own stories like a pretentious douche-bag! Wanna fight about it?...jk)
(Update; July 9, 2012 - "Loves Long Lost" by chiselite is a prime example of what I will accept in an M rated, explicit story. Sure, there are a lot of descriptive sexual things in it, but it was done with a high attention to the emotional turmoil that both Celestia and Luna had been going through, and those parts are done in a way that is more mature and thoughtful than most clop-fics I've seen, very deep and intense. It was almost not chosen because at first both parties are in love with Twilight Sparkle, though they find comfort through each other to abate it, but seeing as I've found hardly anything for this pairing, scarcity makes one thrifty, and with how well-written the rest of the story is, I would've been a fool to pass it up. There was a (barely) sufficient plot (not much of a "conflict" in the story per say, and no grand adventures were had), but once again, the writing was exceptional, and I felt a stirring in my heart long before I felt a stirring in my pants (okay...that came out wrong...). In essence, the effort put into it outweighed what I would call the more carnal aspects of the work.)
(Update; July 11, 2012 - Staff members...hmm... Since it is difficult for me to find others who enjoy the Celestia/Luna pairing, I will gladly take requests to become staff on a case-by-case basis. The only real requirement is to have a desire to see stories about this couple flourish (you can even add your own stories into the archive as a staff member, as long as bringonthespam approves, but him knowing you are a C/L fanatic will jump at the opportunity to encourage it ;) ). Just send me a PM with your intent to join, and I will review, among other things: your profile, favorite stories and authors, and your own stories (not necessarily required, but would show me if you intend on at least contributing/tracking down one story over the course of this community's life). That way, I can be sure that you'll be at least as dedicated as me (pretty casual really...) in maintaining and/or growing the archive.
I am, however, a little more strict on potential staff than submitters. If I think, for one moment, that someone isn't serious about joining, abuses the rules of the community (see above for full list, subject to change at my discretion, though I'll let staff know if anything major changes), abuses FF guidelines belligerently (can find on your log-in under "Publish", not really any excuse for not knowing them...), or is caught behaving atrociously to other site members (i.e. bullying/destructive reviews [Concrit is NOT bullying, and I've been known to throw a word in here or there about grammar that has been less-than-sensitive, but it can be done without snark and retaliation in the case of disrespectful authors. Concrit with class and an objective disposition is all I ask.]), I will not hesitate to kick someone out of the staff, or not let them join at all in the first place. I will present as much evidence as I can scrounge for these "lay-offs", and if you feel the reason for dismissal is unfair, then it can be reevaluated, though with enough evidence of obvious abuse I can't guarantee another chance.
Now that the red tape is out of the way, welcome prospective and current staff members! By contributing your and other peoples' work to this archive, you are assisting in increasing the variety in romantic couples in MLP:FiM, and giving those readers who woefully scrounge for cute, sultry (but not TOO sultry), and even dark Celestia/Luna stories a glimmering beacon of hope in an otherwise...princest-less world (There, I said it! Happy now?! *embarrassingly shuffles off at the word "princest"*))
THE UPDATE BLOCK -
January 9, 2015 - I felt like it was time to clean up my profile a little. A lot of things have been changing with me over the last few years, and my profile should reflect that. Still alive, though not really motivated to continue my other stories much. I've started becoming interested in different series and also in doing some original writing. Everything's still subject to change and whim, as it always has been.
June 27, 2015 - Some readers who have been following "The Princess and the Private" might be interested to know that, since I have not given this story the attention that it should have gotten a long time ago, jeremy1555 will be continuing this story in my stead. Yes, I have given him permission to do so, so please, no messages about how he stole it from me, lol. Since I had formed a basic outline for what I might possibly do with this story a few years ago, it will be most interesting to see what this story becomes in the hands of another writer. Thanks to jeremy1555 for offering to resurrect the saga.
