Author has written 17 stories for Inuyasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, Anime X-overs, and Naruto. UPDATE: Has it really been a year since I posted anything? Granted, I think we can all agree this past year has been difficult in a multitude of ways, but still, it truly doesn't seem possible that an entire year has passed. I've done a LOT of writing, but I guess I am hesitating to post anything before it's completely finished. I am unbelievably ashamed to say I still haven't finished the next chapter of "BWM." I still plan to, though. And I never meant to stop in the middle of "Unwanted," but the storyline started getting away from me. I know how it's going to end, but I am having trouble deciding on the next events. It doesn't help that I love the friendship between Kagome and Shikamaru so much that I have four different Shikamaru/Kagome stories that I keep working on instead. I also have two Sesshoumaru/Kagome stories that are demanding my attention. In all, I currently have eight different projects pulling me in different directions with a total of 281 pages written. Surely, I will have something ready to post soon, right? Here are a couple of excerpts from things I am working on: There are definitely more pleasant ways of being woken up than by being stabbed in the chest. Miroku was thankful that his years of training kicked in, forcing him to move instead of just sitting there contemplating that thought. Seeing your female companion being dragged out of her sleeping bag by brutish men with obvious ill intentions was not a pleasant way to wake up, either. Grabbing his shakujo, which he always kept within reach when he slept, he delivered a sharp blow to his assailant’s head. (Sesshoumaru/Kagome no working title) And: “Why are you stopping?” “Because we’ve been on the run all day since we snatched this bitch, and I’m ready to rest for a while. And I’m thinking it’s time to sample the goods.” “The boss won’t go for that. He wants her for himself.” “He won’t know any different.” “Uh, are you forgetting something?” a soft, feminine voice interrupted. “I’ll tell him.” “Shut up, bitch, or I’ll make sure you can’t say a word!” The man who was carrying her was the biggest of the three, and he drove his meaning home by throwing her roughly to the ground in front of him. Shikamaru’s eyes narrowed as he peered down through the branches of the tree he was perched on. He had seen the three men moving rapidly through the forest with a woman in white slung over the shoulder of one of them, and had followed out of curiosity. Just his luck that she actually was a damsel in distress. Troublesome. “Naraku is a demon. He’ll know if you touch me even if I don’t tell him,” the woman assured the man looming over her. “I can handle Naraku.” The woman started laughing, and the almost musical sound of it did not prepare him for what she said next. “Naraku has bowel movements that are tougher than you.” Shikamaru blinked and the corner of his mouth curved in a small, one-sided smile. She was not the usual, run-of-the-mill damsel in distress. (Shikamaru/Kagome Sunshine and Shadows) And: Hearing a slight scuffle and Inuyasha’s raised voice outside the door, Kagome moved quickly to sit in Shikamaru’s lap. Before he knew what she intended, she undid the clasp on the front of her halter with one hand while grabbing one of his hands and placing it on her breast. Then she leaned in and kissed him passionately. At the touch of her lips, his mind went blank. “Ahem!” Inuyasha cleared his throat loudly. “The Tsuchikage’s aide is here.” He glared at Akatsuchi and then at Shikamaru. She sat up unhurriedly, and turned slowly to face the intruder. Giving him a slight frown, she made no move to remove Shikamaru’s hand or to close her top. “Akatsuchi-san, why are you here? I told the Tsuchikage last night that I was expecting a visit from my brother, so I will not be available to give another private performance until Thursday.” The big man’s face had immediately turned red when he had seen the couple engaged in such intimate contact and he was looking down at the ground to avoid looking at her, but his head shot up and his mouth dropped open at her words. “Your … your brother?” “Yes. I’ve been away from home for a long time, and Shika-nii and I have a lot to catch up on.” Shikamaru smiled blandly at him. About me: contrary to my sons' opinions, I am not quite older than dirt, -- but I am probably older than the majority of anime/manga fanfic authors and readers out there. I have 4, yes, count them: four children. My three sons used to compete throughout the midwest in different martial arts circuits, and have held state and national titles. So, yes, I know the difference between a frontsnap kick, a roundhouse kick, and a tornado kick. I'm very familiar with American Goju and XMA styles, with some TaeKwanDo taught by Ernie Reyes, Sr. thrown in for fun. We also have a marvelous collection of bos, sais, kamas, nunchaku, and swords at our house. I do not fear unruly boys coming to date my daughter. (She's the youngest.) I have been married to the same oblivious male creature for almost 31 years now. And he still has great legs. What fandoms do I like? I am a serious fan of several manga series: "InuYasha," "Yu Yu Hakusho," "Flame of Recca," "S-Cry-ed," "Blade of Heaven," "Fruits Basket," and others. I really enjoy lots of anime, too. Of course, "Naruto" is a favorite at our house, but I also like "Full Metal Alchemist," and am getting extremely interested in "Blood." I confess, I have the entire "Chobits" series on dvd as well as the manga. And I have a tendency to pick up odd series based on the style of the animation or drawing, and the relative "hotness" of the bishies. ("Yurara," "Princess Ai," and "Dazzle," to name a few.) My favorite fics are Inuyasha crossovers. If I'm going to write a story, you can bet my heroine will be Kagome. Of all the females in all the series, she's the one I find the most admirable and appealing. My all-time favorite pairing is Hiei/Kagome. What's not to love? She's light to his dark, friendly to his aloofness, but just as determined and convinced by her ideals as he is in his pessimistic view of life. They complete each other. I came to this OTP down a long, winding road starting with the canon Inu/Kag then becoming intrigued by the possibility of Sess/Kag. From there, I ventured into crossovers and YYH is tailor-made to merge and blend with the IY universe. The first crossovers I read were Kur/Kag and I loved the idea of them together--until I ran into a Hiei/Kagome fic. From that point on, I have never wavered or looked back. I do still read Kagome with other male characters, (just not as often as I used to), but I can't read Hiei with anyone else. My love for this pairing is strong--obsessive, even--and I have a nice collection of Hiei and Kagome action figures, gashapon-type figures, plushies, fanart, and other knickknacks. If you're checking out my profile, you may have read something of mine, so I hope you enjoyed it! |
