My current project is Star Wars: Interregnum, a series of novel-length fanfiction. The basic premise of the series is "what if Palpatine died for good in Return of the Jedi" inside the original Star Wars EU chronology. The first novel takes place after the Timothy Zahn trilogy (Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command), and re-imagines the post-RotJ era, borrowing plot points and characters from the original Star Wars Expanded Universe but taking the overall story in a new direction.

For an idea of storylines you'll see consistently through the series to date:

- Luke works diligently at rebuilding the Jedi
- Leia focuses on helping rebuild the Republic
- Han raises the kids
- Wedge Antilles leads the campaign to finally destroy the Empire
- Imperials grapple with their crumbling universe, some turning deeper into fanaticism while others take the opportunity for self-reflection
- Mara Jade serves as a window into all of these narratives
