Enough self-aggrandizing rubbish, I feel. I'm a compulsive writer who tends towards several main archetypes, including:
a) the beautiful brought low
b) yer basic angst, preferably for a decent reason
c) complicated and multilayered stories involving crises and emergencies and all sorts of dramatic situations, generally and finally resolved with the various heroes and villains sitting around and sharing a can of the multiversal equivalent of bully beef.
d) hurt/comfort of the purest ray serene
I write slash, more of it than I used to, but only if I feel it's canonically supportable; most of what I do is coloured by my pathological Florence Nightingale complex, and you will find yourself bored out of your mind if you don't like medical terminology. I am most fascinated with the psychological implications of the strong and successful out of their element, but I am also interested in the characters--we might call them "low" characters, the equivalent of the timoh sen cah--and how their stories might be told, given that they are not so clearly told in canon.
Much of what I write these days is original, and will never see the light here, but occasionally I revisit an old fandom and dredge up ideas. Most recently updated are probably the Transformers stories and the nasty things I am doing to the Island of Sodor.
My originals, those that I have posted, not including Nano, are at fictionpress.net under the username Vivian Shaw, and my journal is perhaps a more effective window into how I write, at livejournal under the username vivian_shaw. Have fun, honeychildren.
