Taylor gains powers in the locker; this much is familiar. But the power she gets, and what she does with it, begins to change things around considerably. Faced with the pressure of the power she has, and official apathy, she must make her own decisions, and take a different route to achieve her goals. There will be trouble.

Relations between the Terran Empire and the Citadel have been tense since the First Contact War, but efforts to reach amicable relations were bearing fruit. The discovery of a Prothean relic on Eden Prime offered another opportunity to improve relations, until things go badly awry. As Cadre, one of the emperor's chosen, Shepherd is charged with determining the truth, at any cost.

We take the tale up in early February of 2011, when Sophia incites a group of boys to chase Taylor down and duct-tape her to a telephone pole. It all goes horribly wrong from the moment that they catch her. Things will never be the same again, for Taylor Hebert or for Brockton Bay.

It is said that War never Changes; Men do, through the roads they walk, but War does not. The Humans fought The First War, and alongside the Quarians, the Alliance stands tall against the Galaxy in the face of continued adversity.
