Author has written 20 stories for Kim Possible, and Titanic. Well hello there, fellow cyberspace-cadets! My handle on this forum is Nutzkie, but out in the real-world my name is Steve Cope. I'm a thirty-four-year-old male, living and working in Stockton, California: a small farming community in California's Central Valley region, about 45 minutes south of our capital city of Sacramento, and about 90 minutes east of San Francisco. Many people have referred to Stockton as a great place to be from or drive through, but for better or worse, it is home, so for now I'll make the best of it. I first discovered FanFiction.net about six years ago, quite by accident, while surfing the web. As a proud holder of a Communications degree from California State University, Stanislaus, the field of written communication holds a certain degree of appeal for me. Writing also represents one of my interests, as said degree includes a minor in Journalism. To be totally honest, I don't consider myself much of a writer. As a Journalism minor, my formal training in writing centers more around the typical news-writing style of "inverted pyramids," whose, whats, whens, wheres, whys, and the like. Although I did enjoy writing feature articles and opinion columns, my experiences on the school paper staff provided little opportunity for this creativity, and the overall fact remains that I have done very little writing since graduating in December of 2001. My primary focus while on this forum will undoubtedly be Disney's Kim Possible. (Yes, I credited Disney, so all of you soulless blood-sucking corporate attorneys can just go back to the darkness from which you came!) I fell in love with this program about six years ago, due mainly to the superb blend of witty dialogue, rich characters and well-rounded plot lines. Sadly, there are very few programs of this caliber on the airwaves today. As for a focus within my stories, it will be obviously clear to my readers, (all six of them), that I ship K/R. Now this doesn't mean that I have anything against KiGo, RonBon, Rori, or any other ship for that matter. "Different strokes for different folks" is a motto which I always try to live by. Just because a ship may not be my particular bag of nacos, doesn't mean that it's not right for somebody else. However, like any good naval officer, I will respond when my ship is threatened. All K/R bashers be warned: If you choose to attack, then batten down the hatches and sound the General Quarters alarm, because this ship is going to war! Lord Horatio Nelson ain't got nuttin' on me! While a member of this forum, I'll do my best to contribute however I can, either through posting my own material, or writing reviews. However, I really can't make any promises on this front. Modern life just doesn't leave much room for sitting in front of a computer, pounding out stories whenever inspiration strikes. For all those who enjoy the work I do post here, thank you for your patronage, and I sincerely hope that I don't leave you disappointed. For everyone else, you're probably not missing much, so don't beat yourselves up or anything. If you're interested in what writers on this forum may have inspired me, then check out my favorites list. This is a collection the most drop-dead fantastic stories and writers that I have had the good fortune to run across. I can only hope to someday be capable of such skill and craftsmanship in my my own work. Whatever you do, always try to remember the immortal words of Mark Twain: "The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who cannot read them." Truer words were never spoken. Peace out, dudes! Nutzkie... |
