Author has written 8 stories for Phantom of the Opera, Mononoke, Princess Tutu, Fullmetal Alchemist, DragonFable, Assassin's Creed, Tsubasa Chronicle, and Legend of Korra.
GOOD MORNING STARSHINE THE SUN SAYS HELLO
I am Akyesein, formerly Hikari the Soulweaver.
I am typically a lurker on this site (and on most of the internet) despite my having an account here for, what, eight years?
Anyway, I read often, favorite sometimes, review occasionally, and write once in a blue moon. As a result, everything I have posted here has long since been abandoned. I may update some of it eventually, but as I am currently focusing on a much bigger project, it is highly unlikely that it will happen anytime soon.
Here's a little bit about me:
Name: Here, it is currently Akyesein which, in the made-up language it is in, means "Shining One." Heh. But anyway, call me what you wish, so long as it is not too insulting.
Age: I'm supposed to be an adult. Graduated from college and everything. I even have the piece of paper to prove it! I just don't like acting like an adult.
Current Location: Either in front of my computer, or at work.
A Bit About Me: Not much to me, really. I'm a reclusive, introverted woman with a mild eccentric streak, a minor compulsive disorder, a stutter, rather severe social anxiety, and an overly-persistent inferiority complex. Beyond that, I'm artsy. So long as it's not dance, if it's art, chances are I can do it. Or at least take a stab at it.
As mentioned before, I am also a recent college graduate with a BA in Creative Writing and a minor in music. It's not helping me find a job that pays well, but it's what I love, so I've got that going for me, which is nice.
I also play Dungeons and Dragons whenever I get the chance, which isn't often, unfortunately.
As a side note, I am a shipper. I am shameless about it. Give me a video game or an anime, and I will inevitably ship its characters with one another.
On a Typical Evening I Am: Either working, or playing video games. At the moment, I'm mainly going back and forth between Dragon Age, Skyrim, and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire. If I'm not doing that, I'm drawing, writing, or derping on the internet.
Chime- (Assassin's Creed/Mononoke) Oneshot. A simple encounter in which little is said and endless questions are left in its wake. Rated K.
Strike- (Assassin's Creed/Legend of Korra) Oneshot. The task was simple: in the radical faction called the Equalists, there is their leader, a man in a bone-white mask known only as "Amon." Find him, and eliminate him. Rated T for violence/death.
Untitled- (Mononoke/Princess Tutu) Oneshot. Word of strange occurrences led him to a small town, but the evil has already been eradicated by a power he has never encountered before... Rated K.
Moments in Time- (Assassin's Creed) A series of unrelated drabbles and oneshots detailing small moments, thoughts, and experiences of assassins both past and present. Rated T for potential cursing and guaranteed violence. DISCONTINUED
Tempting Fate- (Dragonfable) After the mega Darkness Dragon is destroyed and the light returned to the world of Lore, the forces of good are left to pick up the pieces of what is left behind. A mortally wounded Sepulchure is taken under the care of the side of good on the insistence of Kael, the hero of Falconreach, that because he had helped defeat the ultimate Darkness Dragon, it was only fair that the debt be repaid in some form. Rated M for cursing, violence, and eventual hints at sexual content. ON HIATUS/I GOT BORED
Wielder of Souls- (Dragonfable/Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) Ed, intending to use his own Gate to bring Al back, finds that the Truth has other plans. In exchange for returning his brother’s body and soul to Amestris, Ed is thrown into Lore, a world that is, in his eyes, completely backwards. There, he meets Kael, an experienced Dragon Mage and Soulweaver. He is determined to find a way back to Amestris, but with the chaotic and often nonsensical laws of magic governing Lore, he finds himself in way over his head. Rated T for violence and cursing. ON HIATUS/I GOT DISTRACTED AND FORGOT WHERE I WAS GOING WITH IT
Himitsu Shinu- (Mononoke) The Kusuriuri has lived for centuries, kept alive by the power of the Sword of Exorcism. He wanders the Earth, remaining hidden, slaying mononoke as he comes across them. But as time goes on, the mononoke grow stronger, and he can feel his power weakening. It will not be long before he meets his end. Meanwhile, an FBI agent by name of David Burke has stumbled upon a string of strange occurrences that span many decades, all involving gruesome murders, eyewitnesses claiming to being attacked by vengeful spirits, and a strange man with a painted face. He believes the man with the painted face is responsible for the murders, and he is determined to find the truth behind it all. Rated T for violence, lots of blood, and eventual character death. ON HIATUS/I RAN OUT OF IDEAS
Et Ainsi Nous Allons- (Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles/Phantom of the Opera) Syaoran, Fai, Kurogane, and Mokona have returned to Clow Country after a year's absence to find it drastically changed. An incurable plague has hit, attacking King Touya, as well as the majority of the population. Sakura is unaffected and remembers there are still a few feathers floating within the hundreds of worlds. She hopes that the power of one of the feathers can eradicate the plague and has called upon her friends for aid in the search. Their destination: Earth. More specifically, Paris, France, 1877 AD. Rated T for minor cursing, potential violence, possible character death, and general angst. ON HIATUS/WHY IS THIS STORY EVEN STILL HERE GAH
On the Other Side of Nowhere- (Assassin's Creed/my own book series) A retelling of the story, with a twist and an extra character thrown in. Mere weeks after the disaster at Solomon's Temple, Malik, newly-named Dai, is woken in the middle of the night by terribly vivid nightmares that are not only not his, but seem to be affected the whole of Jerusalem, as well. Minutes later, the sky is filled with a bright light, and something crashes to the ground. Malik goes to investigate, and finds, not a meteor or anything else one would expect to find, but a child with silver blood, pointed ears, and the eyes and fangs of a demon. Deaged!Tysan. Rated M for violence, lots of blood, angst, and so on, as well as eventual sexual content that may or may not be graphic, but will at least be implied. This story will likely never be published on this site or any other, unless I somehow finish he book series this story crosses over into.
The Eye's Reflection- (Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles/my own book series) A retelling of the story, but with an extra character thrown in. Tysan is is Elf-Shapeshifter Hybrid with an imbalance in his magic power that is so out of control that it cost him his own life. Resurrected by the gods of his world, he is given the task of seeking out a disruption in the elemental and magical balance of the universe, and correct the problem. He arrives at the feet of the Dimensional Witch, Yuuko, terribly weakened and with a body that is nearly falling apart. He is soon sent on a journey with four humans, the likes of whom he has never seen before, and with no idea what he is doing or if he will ever be able to return home again. Rated M for violence, a fair amount of blood, plenty of angst, and eventual sexual content (yaoi-style). This story will likely never be published on this site or any other, unless I somehow finish the book series this story crosses over into.
(No Title Yet)- (Firefly/Dragonfable) Word is getting around that the Alliance has discovered a strange new power source and are planning to use it as a weapon against any possible dissenters. The crew of Serenity are hired to find it and, if possible, steal it. However, they have no idea what is in store for them, especially when they discover exactly what the weapon is, and what it could be used for. "The one with a grave for a name took life and gave death. You lost your Weaver to the darkness so that he could bring back what was his." No rating yet. It is likely that this will never be finished.
(No Title Yet)- (How to Train Your Dragon) A retelling of the story, with a twist. Dragons are indeed terrorizing the people of Burk. However, they have leaders: a race of humanoid dragons with the gifts of magic and human speech. The deadliest of them is the one the humans have nicknamed "Nightfury." But when the Nightfury's son botches his first solo raid mission, the consequences cause things to spiral out of control. No rating yet. It is likely that this will never be finished.
On Other Sites-
All is Silence- (Inuyasha) Futuristic AU. The year is 2684 AD. Kagome is a genetic researcher sent to a remote facility on the moon to work with genetically engineered specimens created from combining DNA from animals and microbes found on Mars with humans. One of them is kept heavily sedated for reasons unknown, and Kagome doesn't understand why such a beautiful creature is treated like a mindless thing. Rated M for violence, torture, possible character death, and various other reasons that I haven't decided on yet. ON DOKUGA. ON HIATUS/I RAN OUT OF IDEAS.
