Author has written 50 stories for NCIS, CSI: New York, CSI, Harry Potter, Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, and Hobbit.
my name's Katja, I'm a 29 year old girl from Germany, a Phd student (chemistry) and owner of the best horse in the world, and FanFiction is one of my addictions ;)
Today I felt like updating my profile, so here we go!
So, I started writing fanfiction back in 2005 I think, writing mostly German fanfics about NCIS - hence my name.
Many of my stories here are about Harry Potter. I can't thank JKR enough for creating this wonderful world and for changing my life by introducing me to Harry, Ron and Hermione. My favourite characters, though, have always been and will always be Fred and George, and the fact that JKR seperated them broke my heart. Writing about George and how he finds his way back into life has been kind of a therapy, and my HP stories are very special to me. I might have to add that I usually stick to canon in my stories, but I can't see George marry Angelina, no way! For me he belongs to Alicia and that's the way you'll find it in my fics. Im proud to be part of the Harry Potter genreation. After all this time? Always.
You know, one day during my last year in school, my friend invited me to a movie night. It turned out to be two nights in a row during which we watched the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and I can for sure say that I have been in love with that story ever since. Stories of hobbits and elves and dwarves, this mysterious world called Middle-Earth, everything was so fascinating and I admire Tolkien for his imagination. If I could chose one fictional world to live in, I would be a shield-maid of Rohan for sure! I never read the Hobbit, though, not until the first movie came out. But movie and book combined, I fell in love with Kili and Fili immediately. I think I like them even better in the movies because Peter Jackson and the two actors, Aidan and Dean, gave them such great personality that makes them simply amazing. I can't even say which of the two I like better, they're both so awesome in their own ways. "I belong with my brother" - just five words but they say everything you need to know about them. It's been over a year since my first Hobbit fic and during that time I've completely fallen in love with Middle-earth. I'm still learning about that world, though, so please be kind and correct me if I make a blatant mistake in one of my fics. The fandom will remain strong, because no matter where we go, which other fandoms we discover, we are all welcome in the Shire at anytime, tea is at four, and don't bother knocking.
A short note on the Khuzdul I use(d) in my fics: David Salo (the Khuzdul expert of the movies) has started to release his notes on Neo-Khuzdul. I noticed that some of the translations are different from those that I gathered at The Dwarrowscholar website, e.g. brother = khurm (instead of nadad). As for now, I will just keep the Khuzdul in my fics the way it is. Maybe I will fix what I can eventually.
Apart from books, there is one particular TV show I can't live without, and that's Supernatural. Again, two brothers against the rest of the world - I guess there's something about brothers that really gets to me. Maybe it's because I'm an older sibling myself and would do anything for my little sister.
I also really like Vikings, Musketeers and Outlander, but so far I haven't written anything for these shows.
As you can see, there are also some CSI fics on here, I used to write quite a lot of them when I still watched the show. But I must say I'm not really into it anymore with all the other great shows on TV.
You should also know that I'm not a slash fan and won't read slash stories. I do like whump, those stories that hurt me on the inside, you know what I mean.
I love to add quotes and lyrics to my stories, they're usually mentioned in the A/N but feel free to ask if you are interested in any song in particular.
Last but not least, I'm not a native speaker and I'm eager to learn something new everyday, so please don't hesitate to correct me if I use certain words/expressions the wrong way!
May Mahal's hammer shield you.
