Hi. My name's Othellia. I like reading and writing stuff all over the spectrum. For whatever reason, I tend to get about one really good big idea per fandom, so... yeah. Things I like include: reincarnation, unreliable narrators, enemies working together, and time paradoxes. Because I am terribly uncreative, you'll usually see me include at least one of those per story.
I listen to the bands FictionJunction/Kalafina a lot while I write, so if you like what you read here, go ahead and give them a thank you as well. :)
- Finished Project(s) -
A Two Companion Gap: Proof that being a perfectionist is a bad thing. I had this completely written, but wasn't satisfied with how a section of dialogue felt so I decided to wait until I edited to post the final part. And then I procrastinated on the editing. For a year. Never again, I promise.
The Dreamer and the Bookkeeper: A Labyrinth origin story. This is the first "long" story I've ever completed, so while it's a little rough around the edges, I'm very proud of it. :)
- Current Project(s) -
All that Glitters: Epic post-canon Anna/Hans fic that pulls no punches with his villain status. Currently the only fanfic I'm working on, updates every two weeks. After the end of Act 3 (November), there will be a slight pause as I continue work on an original novel I'm writing, then I'll be back with Act 4 sometime in early January.
- On Hold Projects -
The Dalek Adventures of Oswin Oswald: This was an experimentation in trying to write super short chapters near daily. There is no Clara Oswald, and instead the Doctor goes back in time to rescue Oswin the Dalek. I have so many other things going on and some things weren't quite working out like I wanted them to (needs a finely-tuned balance of angst), but it'd still be nice to maybe pick this up again once TDatB is finished.
Tightrope: Daredevil fic AU. Karen becomes a double agent to try and save her friends. This one's actually relatively short as far as my long projects go, but still, I bit off more projects than I could chew, so it's on hold right now.
- Dropped Projects -
Labyrinthed Away: A Spirited Away/Labyrinth crossover. I haven't updated this in eight years, but I still like the idea. Unfortunately the issue with it now is that I like my bigger stories to have a sort of overarching theme, and this fic - product of my high school years like it is - was always just a series of adventures and physical/magical obstacles than anything else. One day, maybe...
A Tale of Two Tea Shops: A silly crackfic in response to some serious fantheories that Jin was a secret Dai Li agent. I intended it to escalate into full comedic war, but never really planned anything out in depth. Without any direction, it fell apart.
