Author has written 1 story for Chronicles of Narnia.
Don't use words too big for the subject. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise you'll have no words left when you want to talk about something really infinite. -C.S. Lewis
Name: Tayler. Yes, there is an e.
Age: Seventeen years young.
Favorite books: I have way too many to pick an absolute favorite, but some of the books I adore are The Kite Runner, the entire Chronicles of Narnia, and the Harry Potter series. The Heir trilogy by Cinda Williams Chima and the Hollow Kingdom Trilogy by Clare B. Dunkle are also amazng! The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Memoirs of a Geisha, The Screwtape Letters, The Crucible, and A Lesson Before Dying are some honorable mentions. Also, for some weird reason, I tend to love some of the older (like, 1800's, early 1900's) novels we're forced to read in school, like Ethan Frome, The Age of Innocence, Wuthering Heights (of course), and such. They're classics for a reason. : )
Favorite movies: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Prince Caspian, and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe are definitely my favorite movies. Harry Potter, Moulin Rouge, The Blind Side, The Dark Knight, Stardust, Sweeney Todd, Pirates of the Caribbean, Slumdog Millionare, Yes Man, Star Trek, The Other Boleyn Girl, Moulin Rouge, Pearl Harbor, Juno, are some others.
Favorite authors: C. S. FREAKING LEWIS. That man is my hero and has inspired me more than I can ever say. Of course, I also love J.K. Rowling with a fiery, burning passion. : ) Emily Bronte, Cinda Williams Chima, and Khaled Hosseini are some of my other favorites.
Favorite bands/musicness: I listen to anything and everything. Well, that's not true. I HATE country music and I'm not big on rap either. Pop music is sort of okay, though, and so is classical. My favorite song of all time is Anywhere But Here by Safetysuit. Listen to it; it's incredible.
About the writer: Well, it may seem hard to believe, but I've been writing since the tender age of seven. One night, on the Fourth of July, I chose to sit at my grandmother's ancient computer instead of sit outside and wactch fireworks. (I was deathly afraid of them, actually) So in the hours that followed, I crafted my very first short story about Santa, the Easter Bunny, Cupid, and all the other holiday creatures fixing some major problem with the calendar. Watching the expressions on my family's faces as they read it and exclaimed how talented I was, I found my one true love: writing. Since then, my stories have progressed, and I found the magic of fanfiction. Harry Potter and Narnia have been the main stories I've focused on since they are my alltime favorite worlds to lose myself in. I've always strived to make my fanfics as unique and original as I possibly can, and one day I hope to break free from them altogether and come up with my own story and maybe even get published! That's my dream, at least : )
About the fanfics: Narnia will be the dominating world in my fanfics because the brilliant Mr. Lewis gave the reader so much to interpret for themselves and so many liberties with his magnificent world. Edmund is my favorite character (and no, not because he's so flawlessly beautiful in the movies) and he'll be the focus of most of my stories; his history makes him so complex, with his resentment toward the war at home and his shame at his actions in his first days in Narnia. My favorite thing to portray with him is how love can eradicate everything from the past and light the way for his future. I like trying to come up with ideas that haven't been explored and giving the characters a little something more. Like, in Stories Untold, its completely an alternate universe to the real story and something that hadn't been written on this site. I'm preparing another fic about him and his best friend, which will take place after LWW but before PC. It's going to be EPIC and completely new, and I'm excited about it! Hopefully I'll get on that soon. I've thought about doing Harry Potter fanfictions, but I feel like every pathway has been exhausted and I'm fine with the way things went according to J.K. Rowling.
