As you can tell from my quotes, I love horses. Horses and Supernatural, I think they're about equal. Anyway my name is GhostBehindYou (It's not really, my parents aren't that mad), I'm female and come from the good ole' United Kingdom. I love reading (I always have a good book with me on the bus, currently I'm working through The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman) and writing, however the latter has taken quite a bashing recently as the only writing I've done is for college assignments. Which is a real shame, as one of my major aspirations is to become a writer. I'm determined that over the summer I'll pick up my writing tools again, set my brain to work and go for a swim in the reservoir of creativeness. Unfortunately I've been denied access there as of late and have instead been dropped into the ocean of academia, where I nearly drowned and lost my soul to the thirsty, blood-sucking piranha that reside in the murky depths.

Right, moving on. I'm obsessed to the point of infatuation with the TV show, Supernatural. Everything about Supernatural I absolutely love- apart from writer's strikes and bad character decisions (Jo springs to mind). The bond between Dean and Sam (Which is really what pulled me in when I caught the eighth episode, "Bugs", and why I admire the show so much), the actors (They do a brilliant job, especially Jared and Jensen, without them the show wouldn't be half of what it is now), the sense of family, duty and love, Bobby, the spooky plots and evil beings, and of course, Limp!Sam and Protective!Dean. It's the sort of show that can't fail to cheer me up and sooth my frazzled nerves whenever I watch it, so having that extended into readily-available fan fiction? Sheer genius, and there are so many extremely talented writers who create such excellent work (If you haven't heard of her already I highly recommend K Hanna Korossy for her Supernatual stories) that reading their work has just the same effect on me as watching an episode of Supernatural.

So far on the fanfic writing scale I've only done three fics, one short, run of the mill drabble involving Sam and a peanut, and another 136 word emotional oneshot, which is about.. Well, I can't really explain what its all about, or who it was intended for (It would spoil it). You'll just have to read it. I can't even tell you where it came from, it just sprang into my mind. My latest fic, Thoughts of a Mother To Be, is a small drabble about Mary's thoughts when she's pregnant with Dean. I'm not entirely happy with it so it's been interesting to see what a few people thought of it.
I've had some quite positive reviews for all of them, and I want to thank everyone who's read and reviewed again. I'd just give up if I didn't know people liked at least some of my stuff.

To let you know, I will never, ever write Wincest, or read it. I'm not against slash in other shows, but these guys are brothers, and that is how they should stay. I'm kind of half and half concerning death fics. I do read and love a few, but I'm not sure I could successfully write one. I might have a try though.

Recently I've stopped reading so much fanfiction, I've become lazy with finding new fics to love, I'm tending to just stick to the ones with the alerts in my inbox. The same goes with reviewing (Even the regular fics I read), I'm really sorry about that. If there's a chapter/story that I've loved even more than normal, I will drop you a line and let you know I'm a follower. There was a time I reviewed nearly everything I read, I was getting really good at it. So now I'm probably what is classed as a lurker.

Just a final note, I haven't stopped writing fanfiction by any stretch of the imagination (And boy, does mine stretch. My imagination, I mean), and I do hope to be posting some more oneshots and who knows, maybe a proper fic with chapters? We'll see what happens. But please, if you haven't already, read and review my three humble oneshots. You'll make my week with a nice, encouraging review, you really will. Thanks again! x
