Update Update: I know it's been a while since I updated Vis-à-Vis and I apologize deeply. I haven't forgotten it or you all, but I've a little case of The Block, I think. Worse, my personal life is experiencing an upheaval. In short, two things have happened within the past month: First, I'm starting a new job that will have me on the road a lot (not that I think this will be an issue once I settle in, but for the record), and second and more importantly, my father's continued health is questionable. Cancer-related questionable. I'm still writing and I'm not intending to quit or anything, but my head is kind of a mess right now and I've put aside my Naruto stuff to let it simmer for a while; currently, I'm just writing on whatever I feel inspiration for at the time. Again, I apologize for being a disappointment—I know I haven't updated VàV regularly like I did DNT, and I'm sure a lot of you are frustrated, but I appreciate your patience. Or I appreciate, at least, that I'm not being berated at every turn. I haven't forgotten you, and I do care, and when something is ready I'll post it right away.

My 'Net name is actually Lady Shinigami—some of you may have received anonymous reviews from me in the past (I sign off as 'LS')—however, there are other Lady Shinigamis here and because I'm too much of a snob to let a number get tacked onto my name I have instead assumed the name of my muse, Reaper Nanashi, who has graciously allowed me to borrow it for this occasion.

I'm 61 in (155 cm) tall, have lost track of my actual weight (surely a bad thing, but see if I care), am old enough to legally vote and drink alcohol (which I do not suggest you do simultaneously), and my hair and eyes are almost exactly the same color. I live on the east coast of America and intend to be a professional fiction writer. The fandoms I'm currently writing in are Final Fantasy IV and Naruto. From time to time I also fiddle about with rewriting an old Xenogears fic that I only recently realized was not something that should be inflicted on the trusting eyes and brains of FFnet readers. My work will be posted on this site only unless otherwise specified (for example, I have a few old The Lord of the Rings fics on TolkienOnline, but not here). If you see any of my work on any other website under any other name than ones I list here then it has been stolen. I don't know if my work is actually good enough to steal, but it already has been once so apparently it is.

If you wish to offer me some concrit or mindless praise (or both), I accept it with immense gratitude because I can only improve from here and a little ego-stroking never hurts. ;)

Pics I Did Myself (Listed in Alphabetical Order By Story): For years I've played with making pretty pictures using pictures that already exist (e.g., official art), sort of like a collage (because I'm a less than stellar artist, so I see no reason to scorch your eyes with my crappy drawing talent). The effort was begun with the intention of inspiring myself, but the more I played with them the more fun I had, and the more I wanted to share them. So these days they can be found in my gallery (and here's the link to my profile there, too, if anyone cares). Notice that these pictures will be very infrequent in coming, as writing is and will remain my priority. Still, I'm hoping I can provide a new picture at least each time I post a new story. For reference, these images are generally comprised of three main components—background, art, and text—and I don't pretend they're amazing; sometimes the editing will suck, and the angles of lighting from component to component almost never match. If you're one of those people who's bothered by such things and thus won't enjoy the pictures, then for god's sake don't look and give yourself an aneurysm nitpicking the details. But if you want a little something to spice up my fics, this may just be your ticket.
