Hello there, stalker. I'm doing fine, thanks for checking up on me.
NOTE: I deleted most of my stories, because they kind of were horribly terrible. I wrote them when I was 11. Horrible skills. I may never write any new ones, I'm really just a reader.
Once upon a time, a British woman took a train from Manchester to London. During this prolonged train ride, the idea of a black-haired, scrawny, bespectacled boy popped into her head. By the time she found a pen, this idea had morphed into the boy we now know as Harry Potter.
Six years later, a five year old girl went to see a movie with her older sister. The world seemed so real to her, and the characters were so interesting, that she had to know more. So, at school, while the other kids read Cinderella and Snow White, a small, similarly bespectacled girl dreamed of tall castles, thought of witches, and wondered what the heck 'Wotcher' meant.
The five year old girl is now thirteen, and while she enjoys other books too, Harry Potter will always hold a special place in her heart. She owes everything she is to Harry Potter. So, she is here to give her thanks to J.K Rowling, her hero.
Dear Jo (and Harry),
I cant believe that I have to say good bye. I'll never forget when I first picked up the Sorcerer's Stone, and was delighted with every page. Now its many years later- I am no longer an five year old, but a thirteen year old. I have followed you through your school years, with me only a bit younger at each stage. And you have become one of my best friends. Someone I could always count on. Somewhere to go when the day just wasn't up to par. I'm a reader, and a bookworm, and I read everything. But you, Harry, you are not just a good book. Or a great read that I can read a few times. I have read your stories at least FIFTY times, yes, I repeat, all of my books get more and more worn which is why I have at least three of each.
Even though this is goodbye- its not forever. For every time I pick up one of your pages, we are there together again. Thank you for everything- where would I be without Harry Potter?
Goodbye Harry, the boy who's greatest stregnths lie inside. Who showed me that children are powerful and exceptional too. Bye Hermione, the girl who tought me that its cool to be studious. So long, Ron, the boy who taught me all about friendship and loyalty. Goodbye Ginny, the girl who showed me that girls can be tough and pretty at the same time. Bye Neville who reminded me that we all have importance. Finally, farewell Luna, my blonde counterpart, who let me know that just because you seem like a total airhead, doesn't mean that you aren't smart. And to everyone else, goodbye. I will miss you all.
