Author has written 91 stories for Zorro, Star Wars, Touched by an Angel, Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia, and Sherlock. I've been a born-again Christian since late childhood, and a Southern Baptist by denomination since I was in the 7th grade. Therefore, I am very careful to neither read nor write slash, and I'm also careful as to what elements I will include in a story. With that said, I have long been a fan of "The New Zorro," which aired on the Family Channel from 1990 till 1993, and of "Touched by an Angel," which aired on CBS for 9 years, from 1994 to 2003. I have written a considerable amount of fanfiction based on both TV shows. In the winter of 2013, I also became a fan of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. I ended up becoming a fan of not just the novel, but also of the animated Bakshi and Rankin-Bass movies, and the Peter Jackson movie trilogy. To a lesser extent, I also became a fan of The Hobbit, which I read first--the book, the 1977 animated Rankin-Bass movie, and the more recent Peter Jackson movie trilogy. (I own DVDs and Blu-ray disks of them all, including both the theatrical editions and the extended editions of the Jackson TH and TLOTR movies.) In the process, my discovery of The Hobbit trilogy and its main star, Martin Freeman, led to my later discovery of a British-made BBC-TV show that Freeman co-starred in: "Sherlock". Needless to say, I also became a fan of that show! I own that whole series on DVD, as well as some books about that TV show and the entire Sherlock soundtrack on CD, and I have written and posted a number of fanfiction stories about that TV series. I have read The Hobbit, or There and Back Again; The Annotated Hobbit; The Lord of the Rings; The Silmarillion; Unfinished Tales: The Lost Lore of Middle-earth; The Children of Hurin; Beren and Luthien; The Fall of Gondolin; the entire The Histories of Middle-Earth series: The Book of Lost Tales, Parts 1 and 2, The Lays of Beleriand, The Shaping of Middle-earth, The Lost Road and Other Writings, The Return of the Shadow, The Treason of Isengard, The War of the Ring, Sauron Defeated, Morgoth's Ring, The War of the Jewels, and The Peoples of Middle-Earth; Bilbo's Last Song; The Tolkien Reader; Smith of Wootton Major; Roverandom; Tales from the Perilous Realm; The Atlas of Middle-Earth; The Inklings: C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Charles Williams, and Their Friends; J.R.R. Tolkien: a Biography; The Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien; and Letters from Father Christmas. I have also read some informational and devotional books about Tolkien's Middle-earth. And I own some Tolkien music CDs, including the theatrical and extended movie soundtracks. In addition, I'm a fan of C.S. Lewis's The Chronicles of Narnia series (I've read the books as well as some informational and devotional books that are based on the series, and I have watched the animated and live-action movies) and of L. Frank Baum's Oz series, as well as of the 1939 Judy Garland movie, The Wizard of Oz. However, I have written no fanfiction stories, as yet, of Baum's works, or of the movie that was based on his first Oz book, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. This site contains my Zorro, "Touched by an Angel," Tolkien, and BBC Sherlock fanfiction, as well as one Lewis story. My fanfiction is also posted on Archive of Our Own and on their own Web pages, courtesy of Webs dot com; in addition, my Tolkien stories are also posted on Stories of Arda and Many Paths to Tread. Some of my fanfiction stories are also posted on LiveJournal. 7-1-18: As of today, an online friend, dreamflower02, and I have a new FFN account: KGandDF. On it, we are posting a new LOTR story that I thought of, and that we are writing together; it's a "falling-into-Middle-earth" story, titled "An Unexpected Adventure". Here is the URL to our shared profile page, with spaces added so that it'll show up: https : / / www . fanfiction . net / u / 10909948 /. All you need to do is copy and paste it, remove the spaces, and you'll be able to access the link and the story. Enjoy! I want to add that another online friend of mine, GoodShipSherlollipop, who has written some great Sherlock fanfiction, has also put together a wonderful Christian community here on Fanfiction dot net, which my "falling-into-Middle-earth" story is included in. It's called "Stories by Christian writers with Christians and-or family values," and the URL is https : / / www.fanfiction . net /community / Stories - by - Christian - writers - with - Christian - and - or - family - values / 130916 / 3 / 0 / 1 /. Once you've copied and pasted the URL and removed all the spaces, you'll be able to pull it up. I highly encourage everyone who comes to my profile to go pay it a visit! |
