Well, Janaya has grown a lot since I updated! She's now 9 months old, and already walking! She still holds onto the furniture, but she's not far off letting go of that now. I can see it in her eyes, she wants to get MOVING! :) She's gorgeous, she laughs a lot and is just full of energy! Pretty good sleeper too, thankfully :)
For those who are aware of her health problems, it looks like the surgeries were successful as her latest ultrasound has shown that her kidneys are continuing to reduce (while growing the way they should be) and their function seems to be normal again. It's a HUGE relief, I can tell you! We dont have to go back to the hospital again until August and it finally looks like we can get on with being a normal family! Not that it's slowed her down any, she's above average in her length, perfect in her weight - though she's a skinny little thing, she's got the perfect about of baby fat :) And developmentally she's ahead quite a bit!
As for me, my recovery continues and as I get better, so does everything else. I'm trying to write regularly again, and that really seems to help. I've forgotten how much I enjoy it! It makes me feel great, especially with all the supportive readers and reviewers out there, and the incredible friends I've met along the way :)
A shout out to the fabulous TraSan, the wonderful Muffy, the stupendous Skag Trendy and the terrific kokoda2007! If you haven't read their stuff, then what are you doing here? You should be heading over there! Go on! Get on with it! Read their work! Their wonderful! Fantastic!
So, for those who dont know me, I am a 26 (until July) year old new mother of a 9month old daughter. I have a wonderfully supportive husband, we live in a wonderfully supportive house (thank God, or the roof would fall in!) and have a wonderfully snuggly cat (especially at 2am) and a wonderfully needy dog! I live in Australia, so if you see a U in words that aren't supposed to have it there, well, I'm an Aussie and that's just the way it is. I spell MOM instead of MUM, so I draw the line at dropping my U's :) lol Honestly, its just something I'm not worried about coz I know you know what I'm getting at and it really doesnt matter to the story anyway.
I'm rambling again!
Fav shows: Supernatural (of course!), Heroes, House, Life on Mars, Packed to the Rafters (Aussie! Aussie! Aussie!), Lie to Me
Fav movies: Lotsa things! Good ole fashion action flicks like Die Hard and Lethal Weapon, good ole horror flicks like, well, just about anything scary! And the occasional romantic comedy. I dont like Jim Carey movies or anything remotely groan-worthy!
Fav books: Am currently reading Nightmares And Dreamscapes by Stephen King. Have only really started to read his stuff, but I'm enjoying it. I started with The Langoliers and thought it was fantastic! If you've never read that story, I highly recommend it - even if you dont like scary things, it's not too bad for that.
