NAME: FalseReflections.

A lover of fanfiction from the moment she discovered the genre, this budding writer began as an avid reader and is now trying her own hand at writing. She loves all kinds fanfiction, from smutty slash to inspiring oneshots to grand epics.

Born outside the United States in 1989, she was raised in Southeast Asia and is fluent in one of the local languages aside from English. She loves rainy days for their depressing beauty and sunny ones for their cheery colours. She is a fan of sports though she rarely plays in any, other than the occasional badminton matches and swimming/sunbathing. She ostentaciously considers herself very attractive, being an exotic mix of ChineseEurasian and Indian, nevermind that she is slightly overweight. She is also especially fond of mirrors and admits to being a complete bimbo. One of her long time obsessions is her hair.

She adores music and sings in a local a-cappella group. However, she does admit that she has a lot to work on before she can be considered as a good singer. She does not play any musical instruments though she is very good at blowing the pitch pipe. Unlike most girls her age, she has an exceptionally low voice which enables her to sing tenor lines and, on days when she has flu, baritone. It frustrates her to no end that she can't reach beyond the alto range of voices, unless of course she resorts to shrieking.

Ok, I've decided to put off writing for awhile since 1) I really doubt my abilities as a fic writer and have thus decided to stick to poetry which I do not post here and 2) there are really A LOT of fics out there, just waiting for me to fret and cry and laugh and squeal over (not to mention huff with envy) so this is exactly what i'm going to spend my holidays doing.

For those of you who read my single lone poor-excuse-of-a-fic listed down there and want more (for reasons I wouldn't know), drop me a review and I'll try to oblige.

For those of you who are reading this page because I reviewed your stories, please know that I always try to find something positive to mention in a review and if anything I said sounded puzzling, incoherent or doesn't seem to pertain to the fic I reviewed, you can drop me a PM or reply to my reviews and I"ll be happy to clear things up. I was probably drunk, or high(from coffee or chocolate only, mind you) or both.

I am hardly an expert in fanfiction but I daresay I have read enough over the years to distinguish a good fic from a bad one. So if I had suggested to you to improve on anything, do try to take it into consideration. Or else just save your breath and electricity telling me how unfair or narrow minded my review was. People do not review to get their reviews reviewed. You can just ignore it. Seriously.

CHALLENGE FIC: Cycle-Of-Terror (Please indicate this in your summary)

Fic MUST:

-Take place in the future after Harry faces Voldermort. You can decide if Harry won or lost.

-The main character is an OC(Original Character) but HE must be a boy(not being sexist or anything but it'll be a change from the norm).

-Main theme should be action/adventure though other elements of humor or romance can be added.

-An emergence of a new dark wizard, or Voldermort if you wish, who takes a particular interest in your OC. No prophecies PLEASE(but I'll forgive you if it's a really good prophecy)

LIKES and DISLIKES(a running commentary...or rant if you prefer)

I have decided to state that I absolutely cannot stand slash stories concerning Severus Snape with regards to ANY character in PotterVerse. I have no idea why there seem to exist a very large serving of such stories. From the books, it strikes me as absolutely imposssible to pair up Snape with characters such as Sirius Black, Harry Potter, James Potter or even (gags) Albus Dumbledore.

I must also admit that while it would be an ironic twist if Snape was Harry's father, it is also highly... disturbing. Especially if James was his other father.

I also cannot bring myself to read stories involving male pregnancies. I had nightmares when watching Junior(this American movie in which for reasons I cannot convince myself to recall, Arnold Swazherneggar (sp?) was pregnant).

As you might have noticed, I am NOT a Snape fan. In fact, I think I hate him. Positive, even.

However, I have nothing against those who write fics of the nature which I had described. Some were undeniably well written with exciting plot lines. There was this one fic where I continued reading even after I realised the pairing (HPSS) for the sake of the plot, characterisation and ideas but when they began talking about marriage (or in this case, Bonding...shudders), sorry to say I abandoned it.

I also find myself avoiding Remus Lupin/ Sirius Black.

I tolerate Sirius/Harry though.

And Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy... it was the first slash pairing I read in PotterVerse and because of that, it would always hold a special place in my heart. But after the first dozen or so... it gets exhausting to read and thoroughly boring. And I hate Veela!Draco.

There is one slash story that up until now, is one that I thought the most unlikely without being sick and it involves Ron Weasley and Justin Flinch-Fletchley. Search for a fic with those two characters and you'll find it with no problems. It also involves vampires, of which I have taken a liking to.

Although I find fics detailing the life of Albus Dumbledore absolutely exciting, I cannot help but scrunch my nose at graphic displays of... err, love... between him and Minerva, especially when it goes along the lines of "...even though he is close to 150 years old, the very thought of Minerva suggestively smiling at the bed was enough to make him feel the excitement of a young bull in heat...". Please. Unless you are talking about a MUCH younger Albus... don't got there... Don't make out one of the greatest wizards of modern times to be some sick, dirty minded old man who cannot help but miss (and in some cases retained) the virility of his youth.

Oh, and if your story is slash, please keep yourself to only one slash pairing. I find it ridiculous when slash pairings began to pop up everywhere in a fic. Its a gay world. Not.

I love Founder fics. There aren't enough of them on this site though. But it is definitely wrong to have slash in founder fics, to me at least. Please take into context the period of the era. They actually execute homosexuals then.

I have yet to find an OC centered fic in the HP section that does not irritate the hell out of me. The moment I see 'parseltongue', 'prophecy', or 'half veela, half vampire and a tinyweeny bit of fairy' I get a strong urge to leave and abandon the fic. In my experience with reading OC fics, it must be noted that flair for writing descriptively and with clear characterisation is extremely important. Or else the end result of it is a two-dimensional automaton who has 'huge amounts of potential', 'strangely coloured eyes', 'has a tragic/mysterious past' and who was, coincidentally, sorted into Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff/Gryffindor but who would have done 'exceedingly well' in Slytherin. Trust me. It gets old.

I have a weakness for fics in which Cedric plays a major character. But I it is nefariously difficult for me to find a fic worthy of my time. Most that i find are those concerning OCs whose creators need to seriously read the previous paragraph.Pairing Cedric with any other canon characters(close to his age) is good though, as long as Snape stays out of the picture.

Any other canon pairings are acceptable.

As for other fandoms, you'll recognise them if you know the original: Malcolm/Reese(guilty pleasure here), Buffy/Xander, Buffy/Spike, Buffy/Angel, Willow/Xander, Willow/Oz, Xander/Oz, Spike/Oz, Sakura/Syaoran, Syaoran/Touya, Yamazaki/Chiharu, JohnnyTremain/Rab, Padme/Anakin, AnakinSolo/Tahiri, Zekk/Jaina, ObiWan/Siri, Luke/Mara, Athrun/Kira...and lots of others which I suddenly find I cannot be bothered about right now as I currently am still stuck in the HP fandom.

Oh, and this applies to all fandoms I read. It is totally NOT cool have written amazing first few chapters only to leave the fic incomplete. I feel that it is completely pointless to have a fic that is posted that is incomplete. Slow updates are a given for many but do try to finish what you started. Unless of course, you are suddenly diagnosed with an incurable disease or you underwent a major trauma(like reading Snape/Dumbledore), I just don't understand why some people do that. But of course, I'm one to talk huh? All I write are oneshots...

Final advice: Context is everything. Build upon the plot, build upon characters, build upon the story.

I love, love, love Robert Jordan's Wheel Of Time Series. I recommend it to all epic fantasy lovers and bookworms alike. I can't heap enough praises for it. It's like J.R.R Tolkien's The Lord Of The Rings with less mythological influences but with more twists and turns, exciting sub-plots(no, they're not irritatingly distracting like some other authors' at all) AND way longer, I think. tLOTR is a trilogy. The Wheel of Time is a of, so far, eleven novel-lengthed books.

Just as an aside to all that, I pay my respects to the late Robert Jordan, who passed away in 2007, without finishing the series. But I've been told that the series WILL be completed by another author who will pick up where RJ left off. I hope he knows what he's doing. He has some mighty big shoes to fill.

Anyway, I hope anyone who gets to see this will check the series out from your local bookstore or library. And get more fanfics out there. I'm currently in the process of writing one. Just need to figure out what my character will be doing though. I can hardly publish a fic without a plot no can I?

CURRENT WORKS IN PROGRESS

Book ONe: The Gathering Clouds- A Wheel of Time Post TG Fanfic. Plot line still in the works but part of the prologue is up. Characters would be a mixture of OCs and original characters. Not canon, at least in some aspects. I don't calculate ages and dates from the book. sorry. Too busy. Number make me nervous too. Basically about a resurgence of the Dark. I have plans to make it epic but not in the magnitude of original series. I'm not Robert Jordan.

Comments hoped for= At this point i'm only looking for comments on writing style. And maybe what you think of my OCs and plot( what you can make out anyway, at this juncture) Fanfic is still in its pilot phase, meaning i won't continue if thr is little or no respose to this fic =(

Next chappie shld be up by next week.
