![]() Author has written 2 stories for Harry Potter. Well, for the first time in over 5 years, I am updating my profile. It's 2020, which has pretty much been a dumpster fire, but there are some great things happening in fanfic, which I still read religiously. I have two stories on my account, Identity, and The Obvious Choice. With COVID and working from home, I’m looking at trying to resume these stories and get them wrapped up. Originally, at least one was meant to be a long story, but I think I am going to try to re-plan them out to be shorter stories. I’d like to finish writing Identity first, as I think it will be the easier of the two. I could really, really use a beta to double check my work for typos, grammar and Brit-picking, and to honestly get me to update more regularly. If you are reading this and interested, please feel free to PM me. Historically, I have most commonly read Hermione/Severus pairing because I think they would have a meeting of the minds if Hermione was out of school and Severus didn’t have to “act” anymore. I’ve also read and enjoyed many Harry/Hermione, Harry/Daphne and even Hermione/Draco stories. I can’t get behind Harry/Draco because I see them as too closely related (some sort of second cousin relationship?); no matter how popular that ship is, I just don’t buy it. I also can’t stand Ron/Hermione. I don’t care if they are canon, just no. Ron and Dumbledore are two characters that have many fine qualities each, but so many flaws. Loyalty and disloyalty as it suits them that I see as a deterrent to adding into my stories. I’m more likely to point out Dumbledore’s better qualities in writing than Ron’s, but neither will ever be prominently featured. I haven’t read many fics that feature Fantastic Beasts or Cursed Child characters and backgrounds, but I wouldn’t mind exploring them more in the future. |
