Author has written 30 stories for Harry Potter, Doctor Who, and Skulduggery Pleasant series.
I first got introduced to fanfic through the Babylon 5 fandom quite a few years ago, although I also read a little (very little!) in the Buffy and Harry Potter fandoms. I read HP fic pretty exclusively since 2006 - mostly SSHG but also gen on occasion.
I stayed a lurker until mid-2007; it was the release of Deathly Hallows that motivated me to become more involved in fandom. Although I'm still first and foremost a reader, the support of fellow fans encouraged me to try my hand at writing, too. I started off with drabbles (the grangersnape100 community at LiveJournal is a terrific place!) but while I cannot see myself ever writing anything novel-length, I don't feel quite as afraid to tackle a multichapter story these days. It's been a great way to practice both my writing and my English, as I'm not a native speaker and until October 2007, I hadn't done creative writing in any language for a good 15 years. Fanfic is a hobby, and while it's always driven by my love for the canon work, I love exploring the what-ifs in both writing and reading.
My most recent obsession is Skulduggery Pleasant, because really, who could resist a sexy, dashing skeleton with a velvety voice and a love for immaculately tailored suits? I should probably say that I ship Valkyrie/Skulduggery (I rather suspect this won't happen in the books, somehow, but really, those two are made for each other - well, once Val's a little older, anyway), but I'm just as happy with plotty stories full of adventure and action as I am with romance.
Although I go by yapyap here on FFN, I'm known as Kribu in most places I frequent; some of my SSHG fic can also be found under Mint Stick in various moderated archives.
ETA November 2012: For the foreseeable future, I'm not going to either update nor write anything again. I've pretty much lost any drive and inspiration I once may have had and any attempts at writing feel like an impossible chore. I apologise to anyone still hoping for updates to Back of My Hand; there won't be any. Please don't ask me to update anything - not being able to write any longer is still a sore issue for me, so I really don't need the reminders.
