When it comes to being a demon, I’d say I’m a pretty solid five—a high seven on a good day. I’ve lied. I’ve cheated. I’ve picked a pocket or two. It’s not like we can all be harbingers of death or great Babylonic beasts. Ambitions like that got you noticed, and getting noticed got you dead. So, maybe I wasn’t that good a demon, but hey—I was alive.

Alive and standing atop some shoddy office building, drinking in the view and solitude of the late evening. It helped that the building was closed for the night. That sort of thing tended to keep most people off of rooftops. It made my job easier.

Ps - I am not giving up on fanfiction and my current fanfic, Fractured, will be completed.

Who am I?

I’m Rae. British, born and bred, hence the British grammar and spelling, and occasional slip of British phrases and slang in American based fics.

I was 19 or 20 years old when I first started posting fan fic, back in 2007. I'll let you do the math on that one.

Currently, the fandoms I have written for include Supernatural, Merlin, Sherlock, Avengers, and Teen Wolf. All stories and characters that I fell deeply in love with. I wish I could say that I still write for all these fandoms, but the curse of getting older and of working on original material, is that you don't really get to spend as much time looking at fan fic as you used to. I remember many a night consumed by stories I was either reading or writing.

My long term plan is to publish my original work, and I owe a lot of that to the fan fic I have written over the years and the people that read them.

You see, fan fiction is something quite remarkable and special. It allows a person to experiment and grow in a reasonably safe environment, without constant rejection from agents and publishers. If you're reading my profile and you're just starting out with writing or fan fic, don't be discouraged. Enjoy the ride and keep on fighting through the self doubt. You've got this!

Now, I owe a massive thank you to everyone who has, and everyone who will, visit my profile and read my fics. I may not be as present on this site as I used to be, and I may not always respond to reviews, but I still get emails informing me of each new favourite or follow or review that my works receive. It is thanks to the readers that I managed to write so much and that I found confidence in my writing. God knows there are a fair few early fan fics of mine that should never have made it online, but thanks to the people who read my work, I managed to grow as a writer and that is something very special to me.
