We live in a world where the Draco Malfoys are preferred over the Ron Weasleys.

If you get enjoyment from character bashing, we will not be friends.

It seems the cool thing to do for people to name Romione as their 'NOTP', and honestly... do people really hate Hermione that much that they think pairing her with Lord Freaking Voldemort is a better choice than Ron Weasley - the boy who begged Bellatrix Lestrange to torture himself instead of Hermione? Not shipping Romione I can understand. Having it as your most hated pairing in the whole HP universe (where Umbridge/Dobby exists) I do not. It's just 'cool', it's not true, and you all know it! There are far worse ships out there. Change my mind.

Dramione in canon would be extremely toxic and Hermione would NEVER forgive someone who called her a Mudblood every year, wished her death and laughed at the idea of her being sexually assaulted (hello, she essentially trapped Rita Skeeter for writing trashy articles, permanently scarred Marietta Edgecombe for getting scared and attacked Ron with birds for having a girlfriend). It is not a woman's job to change a man. And, for the love of Merlin, she is NOT a forgiving person (thankfully, most people have the sense to only ship it in fanfiction)

Things people forget about Ron Weasley (book compliant because the movies did him dirty)

(Philosopher's Stone)

. Offered what little food he had to Harry without thinking twice

. He took on the troll without Hermione's guidance.

. He didn't panic in the Devil's Snare. He kept a cool head and reminded Hermione to use magic when SHE panicked

. He was twelve years old and willingly sacrificed himself because he recognised that what Harry needed to do was important

(Chamber of Secrets)

. Flew a car to rescue his best friend who he hadn't heard from in weeks

. Looked at Hermione's empty seat next to him, resolved himself, and agreed to go into the Forest to see the spiders (despite being absolutely terrified of them). He didn't whinge about butterflies

. Went into the Chamber of Secrets to save his sister. He wasn't dragged, he wasn't forced, he did it

(Prisoner of Azkaban)

. Stood up for Hermione when Snape called her an insufferable know-it-all and earned himself a week's detention because of it (he DIDN'T agree with Snape)

. Stood up on a broken leg and told Sirius (who at the time he believed to be a mass murderer) if he wanted to kill Harry, he'd have to kill him (Ron) first

(Goblet of Fire)

. Apologised for being jealous. A fourteen year old boy who was actually willing to admit he was wrong and didn't even try to force the blame on anyone else or make excuses for his behaviour

. Allowed Harry to Stun him over and over so Harry could practice for his task

. He DIDN'T make Hermione cry after the Yule Ball. He simply got into an argument with her, she yelled back and she stormed off.

(Order of the Phoenix)

. Stood up for Harry despite most others not being willing to do so

. Joined (along with others) a secret organisation to fight for what was right despite what his mother and brother (Percy) urged him to do

. Joined the Quidditch team and won matches all of his own accord and his own ability

. Went to the Ministry of Magic (along with others) and followed Harry despite not entirely believing him about Sirius. Fought fully grown Death Eaters and lived to tell the tale

. Was made Prefect by Dumbledore

(Half-Blood Prince)

. Got seven OWLs in his exams - the exact same as Harry. Draco Malfoy got three, according to JKR, fyi

. Was incredibly insecure about himself and behaved poorly because of it (but so did Hermione - let's not forget the bird incident)

. Was NOT asked to the Christmas Party by Hermione, did not agree to go with her. The conversation went "I was going to ask you (as her GUEST) but if you'd prefer I go with McLaggen then I won't bother." His response: "No I don't want that." Was literally all that was said about them

. Didn't strut around all smug about dating Lavender. In fact, he felt extremely guilty about it when he figured out Hermione liked him

. He kissed Lavender because both Ginny and Hermione had embarrassed him on separate occasions (this doesn't excuse the way he treated Lavender, which was terrible) but the movies didn't show this

(Deathly Hallows)

. Ron asked Hermione to dance at Bill and Fleur's wedding

. Ron wanted to come back straight away after leaving, but the reason he couldn't was because he had to fight off a bunch of Snatchers and then couldn't find them anymore

. Harry told Ron to leave. Harry also said 'he had no parents' not Ron. Ron's not an arse like that

. Ron once again apologised for leaving without blame on anyone else or making excuses about the locket

. Ron begged Bellatrix to torture him at Malfoy Manor instead of Hermione. He offered his own life up and then proceeded to go ballistic, screaming her name, trying to Apparate without a wand, doing anything he could to get to her

. Simultaneously stayed calm enough to impersonate Peter Pettigrew

. Fought in the Battle of Hogwarts and didn't stand by while Hermione begged to go with Harry like a useless sidekick

-- The Diary of Ron Weasley -- 119 chapters -- the Harry Potter story told from Ron's perspective in diary format. This is one of the first things I ever wrote. I am a better writer now, but I am happy with this.

-- Grief -- 40 chapters -- Ron and Hermione deal with the loss of a child. Another early fic I wrote and completed. Whilst it is sad and probably inaccurate I'm not really willing to re-explore this subject. Warning for miscarriage.

-- Look at the Stars -- 15 chapters -- Scorpius has come to spend two weeks of the holidays with Rose, but it seems she is the only one happy about it. Will the relationship last, or will it destroy more than one relationship in the process? ScorpiusRose, RonHermione, HarryGinny, ParentChild.

-- Miss Popularity -- 7 chapters -- An AU (from my head canon) where Rose finds herself in an abusive relationship (OC). Warnings for sexual, physical and verbal abuse. Rated M.

-- Heart of a Lion -- 4 chapters -- One of the first things I wrote. George/Dumbledore platonic student/teacher relationship. I honestly don't remember much about this it was so long ago, but I found it on my profile.

-- Broken Hearts and Broken Bonds -- 13 chapters -- Ron/Rose father/daughter fluff with an angsty undertone. Includes a subplot of Dementors returning.

-- When I Have You -- ? chapters -- A DETAILED story of Ron and Hermione from after the war all the way up to death. This is an unknown quantity of chapters, is long and detailed, but covers everything. Canon-compliant almost to a T. This story has an IG account (without spaces) 'whenihaveyou . romione' If you're into fanart and creating it, I would love to see any fanart you draw for this story (really arrogant, I know, I'm sorry, but I'm really interested in seeing it lol)

Rewriting, incomplete - It's really bugging me that I have so many incompleted works on my profile. So most, I am planning to take down, rewrite and repost once I've completed it (so I don't have any committment issues.) I will only take down once I've finished the editing/writing, so links are provided for the moment to the original/unfinished ones.

-- In This Together -- 50 chapters -- COMPLETED. This is my favourite MC here, and I really want to write it again to make it better. I have started rewriting it already and will remove the original once I have completed it. For now, here is the original. It follows the lives of Rose and Hugo as the cope with their parents' murders.

-- I Dream of Us -- 14 chapters -- INCOMPLETE. PREQUEL to In This Together leading up to the events that occur in ITT. Told from Ron and Hermione's perspective. I am very unhappy with this so this will be taken down when I start reposting ITT. Strong recommendation to read ITT first. Planned 20ish chapters.

-- Lives Entwined -- 4 chapters -- INCOMPLETE. The plan for this was to write from the perspective of all the Weasley CANON pairings where they live separate lives, but occasionally, their lives crossover. I was excited for this, but got distracted. It's on my mind to rewrite and repost eventually.

-- I Thought I Hated Her -- 12 chapters -- INCOMPLETE. I was well into this and then something happened and I stopped. I think I had planned around 15 chapters so I will see what I can do. Low down the priority list thought. Scorose from first year.

-- Chance -- unknown chapters -- An AU (from both canon and my head canon) which involves a Hermione/Ron/Lavender triangle. I'm not sure I will ever actually complete this or publish it as I'm unsure on the route I've taken. We will see.
