People believed that they were such great couples. If only they knew. The two sisters were great actresses, who would play their roles until they had reached their goals. Secrets of their family would bring them what they wanted for themselves and their children. Deception was something they had learned from a young age after all. Both would have done well in Slytherin.

Severe abuse causes an enormous burst of accidental magic from which Harry learns to control the Dursleys. With their home as a casual base, he takes to the streets, thieving & improving his magic. Dumbledore-bashing. Dark retribution shocker. Grey nonreactive, noncompliant, anti-hero Harry. Friends. Fluff. Pairing. M-rated. Broken boy v powerful sanctimonious manipulative tyrant!

Harry Potter is not standing up in his crib when the Killing Curse strikes him, and the cursed scar has far more terrible consequences. But some souls will not be broken by horrible circumstance. Some people won't let the world drag them down. Strong men rise from such beginnings, and powerful gifts can be gained in terrible curses. (HP/HG, Scientist!Harry)

After the Final Battle, the Wizarding World is left to mourn for their fallen friends and family. Feeling as if they're imposing on the Burrow, Harry and Hermione take their leave and embark on their own recovery: with each other. Written in 3 Parts.

Harry gets smart and takes on the true Dark Lord in his life. And if he does it right, all he needs are words.

Harry Potter was left with the Dursley's on Dumbledore's orders. Given the way they are, how they behaved, it shouldn't be a surprise when Harry did not manage to live through all they did.
