Hullo there. I be Ann.
I enjoy writing, though I often find I have little motivation to actually finish any of my stories, since I grow out of obsessions with certain characters or series (come to think of it, what's the correct plural form for that word?) extremely quickly. Thus the reason for never having finished a multi-chapter story.
I enjoy dancing, though I often find I have little motivation to actually get up and practice (I'm noticing a trend here). But dancing is my true love, and if I had to choose between losing my feet so I couldn't dance or losing my hands so I couldn't write, I would have to cut off my hands. After all, I can always type with my feet :) EDIT 2011.1.13: Wait no...now that I'm in guard, if I don't have my hands I can't spin. Dilemma. Learn to spin with my feet? Ooh, muscular toes.
I lost the game.
Er...I forgot what I was going to say.
Oh, right. This isn't it, but I need to get this out anyway. I detest the use of random Japanese vocabulary in English fanfiction. Seriously, guys. If all the dialogue in your fic is in English but the characters all speak Japanese, we can figure out they're speaking Japanese. Unless stated otherwise in an earlier point of the fanfic. We don't need Naruto to use the word "teme" every freaking sentence. We don't need everyone to put a "ne?" after all their sentences! What is wrong with writing "you--!" or "bastard!" or "right?" What is wrong with that? If a character has a particular catchphrase in Japanese that can't be translated properly (nyoro; puri), then fine. But there shouldn't be a problem otherwise.
Ooh, I remembered what I was going to say! So you know how everyone puts what pairings are going to be in their multi-chapter story? Yeah. I don't do that. I put them there if it's a oneshot, but otherwise, isn't it more fun for the reader to not know who's going to be with whom? So I won't even put my pairing preferences on this profile page, 'cause people might figure it out then. I mean, in novels, it's not like the authors tell you who's going to be paired together. Though I'll say I am not against het, shounen-ai, shoujo-ai, or their stronger counterparts, and I tend to not do interseries pairings.
If you actually read all of that, thank you. It's nice to know that someone's interested in my life (but not in a stalker way, I hope).
