![]() Author has written 3 stories for Harry Potter. 40-something mother of two, environmental lawyer and HP fanfic fan from New Jersey. Oy vey. My view. Not that you care or need to know, but here are a few of my thoughts on cannon, fandom and life in general. Dumbledore may have been powerful, but he was a bumbler -- he seriously dropped the ball with Harry, from Harry's abusive childhood, to failing to keep Harry safe at school, to his failure to seriously train Harry for survival. I was disappointed that Harry dropped the D.A. after Umbridge left. Did he think his friends/classmates were no longer in danger? I was disappointed that Ginny didn't insist on going with the trio in book 7. Surely the little sister of Fred and George could have managed to get what she wanted if she really wanted it. Fandom is fabulous. It's creative, it's sexy, it explores completely out-of-the-box ideas. I've come a long way baby in terms of re-thinking the cannon characters since I started reading fanfiction. I've come to love all sorts of themes that I never thought I would: slash, redeemed Draco and Snape come to mind most prominently. Still, I've never cottoned on to incest, chan or rape. Go figure. I collect my favorite post-war angst in my C2, POST-WAR ANGST: REHAB AND REVOLUTION. I bookmark off-site favorites at . Both sets are mostly angsty, post-war, Harry-centric and slash.
