Author has written 10 stories for Sookie Stackhouse/Southern Vampire Mysteries.
Hi, my name is Lisa, I have been writing fanfiction since 2004. I enjoy it a lot, it's a great cathartic for me.
I am now totally obsessed with Southern Vampire Mysteries, the book series the fabulous HBO show True Blood is based upon.
My stories will always have happy endings, because I believe that if things can't even go well in fiction, than what hope do we have in real life?
Hello, long time no see! I know a lot of you have been wondering where the hell I went. To put it bluntly, and in a nutshell, my sister died. But she wasn't truly my sister. She was one of the few people I could say I have known pretty much my whole life. I met her when I was four in preschool, and alot of my earliest memories consist of her. A couple of months before she died, I also lost my grandfather. This will sound harsh, but the death of my best friend hit me harder than he death of my grandfather. My grandfather was old, and sick, and I knew he wanted to die. He was just tired. To me, the saying 'He's in a better place,' was absolutely true. However, my best friend was only twenty, and did not deserve to die. She was so young, and quite frankly the nicest person I have ever met.
So while her death hit me harder than his did, together they nearly crippled me. My life became seperated into what I had to do, and what I didn't. I had to go to school and to work. I didn't have to write. So I wouldn't.
This was not fair to you, my readers, and you have my most sincere apologies.
Let me lay it out for you quickly:
I have two stories in the works, one AH, and one I'm not quite sure what to classify it as.
Both are on the back burner currently until I finish Shattered and Nothing Personal.A Message to Readers/Reviewers:
The topic of the relationships between authors and readers in the regards to reviews had been a hot button issue on this site for many years, even in this fandom, most recently with SeaStarr. It has been debated, and even whole articles have been written on what constitutes a ‘good, considerate’ review. I rarely if ever receive one that those authors would constitute as ‘good and considerate’. I mostly get the ‘Loved it, update soon plz!’ variety, and I’m okay with that, truly I am! I’m just happy you guys leave reviews at all. I think it’s nice.
And I am nice in return. I have never held my chapters ‘hostage’, never commented on reviews in my author’s notes, unless one particularly touched me. I have never asked for more reviews, only thanked everyone sincerely for the ones I have received. Why? Because first and foremost, I am a reader, just like you, and I know that stuff sucks! Even when I knew it would be a while between updates I did not put in an author’s note as a chapter, because I know, as a reader, how much we hate those.
So I understand the reader’s, and I know how disappointing the lack of updates have been. I also understand that many authors in this fandom have made it clear that we are people too that cannot be glued to a computer 24/7. I really wouldn’t be saying anything that hasn’t been said before.
However. I have to say this. I have to. I am a person. A young person actually. Twenty. What does that mean? Well, it means that I hold down a part-time job, go to school full time (taking six classes this semester), look after my elderly grandmother once a week, volunteer when I’m not working/at school/taking care of my grandmother, and oh yeah, in between I try to have a life. And then I write. It’s not a lot of time for writing, but I do my best, truly. And that was all before my personal tragedy.
So I don’t really appreciate it when I receive a review that consists of this:
“freaking update you whore!... uhhh yeah”
I won’t lie, I read that on a very bad day. It was eleven at night, I had just laid down in bed after being home for only three hours because I had spent twelve hours at school. I was exhausted and depressed, and then I read that. I very nearly rolled out of bed at eleven, marched over to my computer, and deleted this story. It was really on the tip of my fingers. I was hovering over delete.
But one thing stopped me, and that was the other reader’s. The nice ones. The ones who have politely and sweetly asked me in reviews and PMs when I will be updating soon, and was everything alright?
I know we author's fight a losing battle on this subject: But please, please try to remember that we have lives!

The lovely and fantastic Kitchycoo made a banner for my story Shattered! Well two actually, that are wicked awesome! She won me in the Vampire Author Auction for Support Stacie, so technically, I was supposed to make something for HER, but she's just so nice (and talented)!
The ever amazing Kitchycoo made me a banner for my smutty one shot, Hey, Batter Batter written for Bloodsucker815. Look at it, and revel in it's fabulousness!
