Author has written 1 story for Professional.
Hmm... what can I say about myself that would be of interest to those who are currently reading this profile?
I'm a girl, which will probably surprise a few of you. I try not to write like a girl. It's so very easy to tell the gender of an author by the way they write. Drop me a line if you think I'm not doing a very good job of it.
Well, I consider myself a student of human expression. Which means I people watch a lot. I'm fascinated by humans, which is a very strange thing to say, but it's true. Have you ever listened to someone cry? Sometimes it sounds like they're laughing. And when they laugh? Well, sometimes they sound like they're crying. The emotions of happiness and sadness are so interchangeable for some people that there is hardly any difference. But enough about that.
I love movies. There's nothing that I love more than sitting in bed and watching a story unfold before me.
I (quite pointedly) adore Gary Oldman, and definitely list him as one of the best actors of our time. And not just because he's got the kind of looks that make you do a double take. He's just bloody brilliant. I think the best way to truly span his abilities is to watch Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, and follow that up with either The Professional or True Romance. He's an astonishingly good character actor. It's hard to believe he's the same person in all of these movies. The only film I can honestly say I didn't like that he's in was Dracula. I think it was Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder that brought down the show, though. I can't fault him for being enterprising.
Another passion of mine is Shakespeare. I live in a relatively small town, so the theater is only rarely visited by Shakespearean acting troupes, but I got to see Hamlet last year (Hamlet's my favorite, so don't make any jokes about the ending. I happen to like that everyone dies). And Romeo and Juliet this year. What was especially good about this year was the part of Juliet was played by a man, much as it would've been presented when Shakespeare was still alive. Plus he was absolutely brilliant. Some people in the crowd couldn't get used to it, but it's their own fault for not being open-minded.
I'm pretty sure I live by this website. I come home and read or check my stats. I'm hoping that posting on it will become a regular thing for me, as well. I love my reviewers, they fuel my passion, even if there are very few of them. I also love my beta, Charlotte Temples, who has never finished a story in her life but brings a lot to the table when it comes to editing. Once again, free advertising space. You can find her on here, if you'd like to use her. Apparently she has nothing to do.
I'm graduating highschool this year, though I'm already taking college courses. At the moment, I'm going to be majoring in political science (I have a knack for lying), though it's subject to change. I speak semi-fluent Spanish, and I can read most French and Italian, and some Latin (damn my old days as a Catholic schoolgirl, knee socks and all). I'm open for friendships. I'd like to think we're all one GIANT community here on fanfiction.net, so don't be afraid to message me if you ever want to.
