Author has written 12 stories for Legacy of Kain, Resident Evil, Elder Scroll series, G. I. Joe, and John Wick.
My name is Mike and I'm technically a published author. In 2013, I published my first original novel as an e-book on Amazon, and I published my second novel in 2015. I also published a novella in 2017. They are fantasy adventure, and if you're interested in checking out my work on Amazon, please send me an email.
Resident Evil Legends
Resident Evil Legends is my attempt to write a continuous, coherent, and believable version of the RE universe. I wanted to create one piece of fiction that would resolve all the plot holes and remove all the unrealistic details. I also wanted a serious version of RE where Wesker is more than a one-dimensional villain. Wesker is truly the main character of the entire RE universe, and he deserved more than a simple "evil genius" stereotype. Part One starts when Albert Wesker and William Birkin first join the Umbrella Corporation. Part Two covers the events of Resident Evil: Zero. Part Three covers the infamous Mansion Incident from the original game. Part Four covers the events in between Resident Evil and Resident Evil 2. Part Five and Part Six show the infection and eventual destruction of Raccoon City, and Part Seven deals with the aftermath of the entire story and sets the stage for the future.
In 2015 and 2016, I edited and revised all seven books in the Resident Evil Legends series and published them on Smashwords under the pseudonym of Andreas Leachim. I created all new cover images and changed a few titles as well. Part One is now published as "Welcome to the Umbrella Corporation" and Part Two is "The Arklay Outbreak." They are free to download on a variety of formats, including Amazon Kindle. The versions here on Fanfiction are the original, unrevised versions.
Many people have asked me if I intend to continue writing Resident Evil. I originally started a new Resident Evil story back in 2012 or so, but the project got pushed aside when I decided to start publishing original novels. I'm happy to announce that in 2019 I intend to start work on that story again, which will be a one-shot story featuring Rebecca Chambers and Billy Coen. With any luck, in the future I will continue to write novels in the Resident Evil universe, incorporating the storyline from Resident Evil: Code Veronica and the mysterious Ashford family.
GI Joe: Rise of Cobra
I wrote this novel as a possible alternative to the GI Joe live-action movie. I don't think the movie was bad, but it changed a lot of characters and went a bit too far with the unrealistic action scenes. I received lots of great feedback for my version of the GI Joe Universe. I began to outline a possible sequel, but at this point, I don't think I will ever be able to write it.
Morrowind: The Solstheim Conspiracy
This novel is based primarily on the Bloodmoon expansion for Morrowind. It is mostly faithful to the game until about halfway through, and then it goes off in a completely new direction and diverges significantly from the events of the game. My first published novel on Amazon was originally intended as a re-write of this novel, but during the writing process the plot changed drastically, so now the two novels have very little in common except the name of the main character and the snowy landscape setting.
Legacy of Kain: Blood Brothers
The first story I ever posted on FanFiction, and in fact the first fan fiction story I had ever tried to write, is based on the Legacy of Kain video games. I wrote the entire story back in 2003 or so and posted it here all at once, not really knowing what to expect. The story takes place during the span of time in between Raziel's execution and resurrection and shows what happened to his brothers during that time and how they evolved.
Legacy of Kain: Mortality
I began this novel probably in 2003-2004, after I finished writing Blood Brothers. However, it kind of stalled and I moved onto other projects after writing about 50 pages. It sat unfinished on my computer for about 14 years until 2018, when I decided to start working on it again, and I finished it in 2019. The novel is basically the life story of the necromancer Mortanius, from the time he first became a Guardian as a child until his final meeting with Kain in Blood Omen.
I wrote this short story as a lark after I watched the third John Wick movie. I rarely write short fiction like this anymore, so it was a fun little experiment. The story is my own explanation for why the character Winston does what he does in the movie.
