Author has written 9 stories for Mentalist, StarTrek: The Next Generation, Misc. Books, Harry Potter, and Stargate: SG-1.
This keeps happening over and over again, the last time I updated this profile page was in 2011, and for some reason I keep losing years, sadly, these days I'm actually starting to notice them passing. Damn, I'm getting old.
Let's get to it then, I'm obviously not getting any younger over here. So, not to beat around the bush, I'm a 23 year old woman (I'm still getting used to the fact that I'm not a little girl anymore, while mentally I'll probably be forever stuck in the: too-childish-for-my-age zone) who has yet to find her way in life. I recently switched studies and am currently in-between universities. Actually, I'm going to study English language and culture starting in September at uni. I seriously can't wait!! I already have an academic history in English studies and I truly believe the English language is my long lost native language. Sadly, in reality, it is not, but it feels like the twin sister I never had. How odd to be saying that about a language, right?
I've been writing since I could hold a pen, albeit not always in English. I started writing my stories in English when I was 15 and have been an on/off writer of Star Trek, Stargate SG-1, the Mentalist, the X-files and other such fiction over the past 10 years (Geesh, that's a big fat decade right there).
Since I'm waiting for my life to begin again in September I have recently decided to put more energy in my creative writing skills and therefore I will be mainly focussing on a tiny little Stargate SG-1 story called "To Be Touched" over the next couple of weeks, maybe even months. It's a story that has been on my mind for years and right now is as perfect a tiny as any to actually explore what I find so fascinating about this concept.
Other than creative writing I waste most of my time, singing, playing in (amateur) musicals, horseback riding, working to earn some type of a living and I read quite a lot of stuff. This stuff can be divided between relevant and well written stuff and irrelevant crap that doesn't really deserve my attention but I can't help but read anyway. This may or may not include fan fiction. You be the judge of that one.
I'm a fair writer/editor. I've always been able to help out my classmates with academic essays and I have never received a bad grade on academic level for any of them. So, if you're in need of a beta you can always PM me and I will be more than happy to edit and advice, but just bear in mind that I am not perfect. On occasion I make (big) mistakes, but I'm good for it. I adore feedback and over the years I have learnt that the only way to improve myself is to be able to always adopt a receptive attitude toward critical, constructive feedback but also to acknowledge that improving creative skills (or any skill for that matter) takes time and practice and that that is perfectly OK. That sounds like common sense but in reality it has been much harder for me to apply than accept. Lately, though, I've been practicing what I'm preaching, and it really makes a huge difference!
