Author has written 2 stories for Law and Order: SVU, and Artemis Fowl.
I'm a twenty-four year-old woman and a huge fan of crime shows. I enjoy Grimm, Bones, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, 2 Broke Girls, Once Upon a Time, and The Big Bang Theory.
I have dark brown hair and Scottish green/blue/gray eyes.
I graduated college with my Bachelor of Arts in English (shazam!!!) and now NOT being in college is driving me nuts! It never ends!! Hahaha.
My favorite genre of music is pop, and my favorite genre of literature is fantasy/magic. I'm generally a very nice person and I like meeting new people, so feel free to start up a conversation with me.
I've recently gotten very into apocalyptic/dystopian literature. Some of my favorites include Angelfall, the Ashes trilogy, The Hunger Games, and Partials. The Wither and Matched series are good, but geared toward a much younger audience and I found the writing incredibly repetitive and a shade juvenile.
Twelve Books Everyone Should Read:
The Gift of Fear and other Survival Signals that Protect us from Violence, by Gavin de Becker (This empowering book will change your life. It changed mine.)
Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World that Can't Stop Talking, by Susan Cain (The Extrovert Ideal can suck it!)
The Harry Potter series, by J.K. Rowling (Do I even need to give a reason?)
The Glass Castle, by Jeannette Walls (It's an unbelievable memoir. Her life/family was NUTS while she was growing up!)
Brave New World, by Aldous Huxley (Might want to think twice about creating designer babies in a lab! And I don't mean fertilizing eggs outside the womb; I mean cherry-picking personality traits and physical attributes).
Welcome to the Monkeyhouse, by Kurt Vonnegut (His insightful social commentary, taken to an extreme, will really make you think.)
The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins (Ditto the poignant social commentary.)
Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley (This intense psychological trip through Victor Frankenstein's mind will have you contemplating the meaning of life.)
The Heretic's Daughter, by Kathleen Kent (Especially if you like historical fiction. This one's about the Salem Witch trials!)
Allegory of the Cave, by Plato (It's not anywhere near as long as it sounds. Just a few pages, tops. And fascinating to boot.)
The Princess Diaries series, by Meg Cabot (Because everyone needs a bit of fluff in their lives.)
The Young Wizards series, by Diane Duane ( It's magic! With SCIENCE!!)
